Re: It's different on my pc or phone

Ratty,

Since I do not have a smart phone, I cannot speak to that point.

However, on my desk computer, I do not see any Amazon adds or any adds a'tall.

Re: Burning Man & Mental Illness: Navigating Sober

If there is not such a camp now, you may well be the mustard seed from which such a camp can grow and prosper from. All it takes is two to make a camp. You have taken the first step. There is a Q&A section on the BM home (with a good bit of insider information) you might wish to give them a try -- t...

Re: 2018 Exodus / Traffic, stories

Bradtem,

You are assuming that everyone wants to participate in such a project, that everyone had GPS on their smart phone and believe it or not, not every one has or even wants to have a smart phone.

Good try. But, no cigar for you this time.

cc124 wrote, "Had bike lock on." Which begs the question; was the lock cut and the trike ridden off by one person? Or, knowing personally how heavy and unwieldy a Schwinn Meridian is to carry, it could not have been carried by one person. It would have taken two and preferably three people to have c...

Re: Lost Tricycle - Blue Schwinn Meridien

Several of us here on e-playa use a Schwinn Meridian for personal transportation on the playa. When they are fully assembled, they are not the easiest thing to man-handle or to transport. Your Schwinn Meridian will not be something that could be hung on a bike rack on the back of a car or easily lif...

Re: Is this ticket fake?

Each year that I have volunteered at the event (14,15,15,17), around January, I have received a Thank You letter/envelope from BM ORG that was signed by the leaders of the venues where I volunteered and also enclosed was a real ticket from the previous year.

What the Captain said. In my opinion, you might wish to tune into the live feed around 7:45 Pacific time and enjoy the event. I am not sure if the live video includes the audio of the Burn. You might wish to tune into BMIR radio at the same time. They may have a remote feed from the burn site where ...

What Eric said about plenty of solo camping on the back streets and meeting new life-long friends. Probably more back street open areas on the 3:00 side of the city than the 9:00 side of the city. Solo camping has many plus' over group camping. The least of which is you own yourself and your time. H...

I 'Third' AntiM & Token.

Those wheels are way-way-way too small ---- leave them at home.

After the first day or so many to most of the roads will be so bumpy or 2"-5" deep in pulverized playa dust that even riding a bike with 26" wheels is difficult if not impossible.

You done good by asking.

Once again - Be Comfortable.

You will see burners dressed to the EX-EXTREME, you will see burners dressed in the cloths that they wear at home and in between.

No matter what you wear, you will not be over or under dressed.

Evaporative Cooler + Dry Ice = Not a good idea.

This goes with driving Long distances with an ice chest with dry ice in the trunk (boot) of your vehicle.

On my new (2013) Schwinn trike I went 100% turn-key e-bikekit.com. Be sitting down when you see the turn-key price for a complete kit. As of June 3, $1,200 tickets and $80 vehicle passes are still available via your Burner Profile page.

The catch is, vehicle pass is only available with the purchase of a $1,200 ticket.

I will not address the Food Permit because I have no experience with it.

I will say, that you can give away as much food as you bring and there will always be folks standing in line.

Set your nightly quantity and when you run out - you run out.
