It's always been a bit more than just "another fucking internet chat room". The dynamics here are unlike anything I've seen elsewhere. Even on my own private board, Tribe, and even the personally loathed 3playa. I'm also sitting here thinking "this too shall pass". People have been dusted up before ...

If there's a need to defend perhaps the moderator has went beyond their mandate and they need to step back and rethink the role they volunteered for and if they're really doing what the community wishes...or are they supporting the "vocal minority"? If after doing that soul searching they feel they ...

I prefer Liquid Nails for projects around here. It's what I used on my box trailer and it's made 4 trips to the playa without fuss. I don't think you'll go wrong with it.

Fishy's advice is definitely worth paying attention to. And on the subject of planting bamboo one of our local papers out here has a section where people write in with horticulture questions for the local University Extension people to answer. Here's a question that came up about bamboo...the answer...

Obviously you missed the apology and full disclosure of the socks which I did 2 years ago. Booker, what I want to know is why is it that ever time something unusual happens on that board, why am I immediately accused of it? I've made less than 10 posts over there in 2 years time yet I still command ...

So predictable Don. So damn predictable. Edit: As for your definition I expect nothing less than something like that coming from an individual who only hears or reads what he wants to hear, or what his friends spoon feed him. It's a shame you have no independent thought capabilities left. You have m...

SB, the last paragraph was to get a point across that the days of the 3playans ripping into me without repercussions are over. Also since it's going to come down I know from 4 years of dealing with that group how things get spun out of control and boomeranged back on me. A PM is not the most effecti...

Rumor has it that one of the Rainbow Gathering's predators showed up at BRC this year and was given the boot back out the gate. Does anyone know if that was true or not and if so did he get charged with anything?

That's it? If I didn't know better I'd consider that post to be a bit of "baiting" as it's just begging for a response. And not a good one either. In any event....if it needs to Case Studies is waiting. My hunch is if this gets that far the community will come back saying this is another tempest in ...

Get one of the locks where you can set the combo yourself. Our local bike shops sell a small cable lock that fits in your pocket, you set the combo yourself and it retails for $20. You don't need cryptonite locks out there, all you need is something to keep someone tripping from confusing your bike ...

leopards rarely change their spots, my dear k4. I strongly disagree. Life experiences have a way of forcing change on us. You grow older and usually wiser and that comes into play. You have or adopt kids and that can change it. You can have something bad happen and it shakes you up enough that you ...

Hmmm...reading that gave me an idea for the "smallest functional theme camp" or personal camp. Maybe make a mini-arcology or something for next year vs. the tent or RV thing. Possibilities, possibilities.

In this day and age if you don't pay attention to them someone else will. They'll be gone. And it's your own damn fault if it happens.
