Re: Galaxy Hut Tarp Size

Length of hut = 16" Length of pipes that make up arches=24" I found this really handy for determining how long the arches should be to achieve a certain height (remember that the arch is 1/2 the circumference and the radius(stand-up height) is 1/2 the diameter) : http://math.about.com/library/blcirc...

Re: Canopy fittings for multiple size tubings

If you were to buy the "connectors" you could at least cut your emt in half. I think it would work out MUCH cheaper than finding/buying such a "specialized" connector (?)

Re: Lag screws vs everything else...

Just curious if anyone has ACTUALLY screwed in a lag screw with a socket wrench speed handle and ,if so,how easy/difficult was it ?

Re: Flattop shade design questions

Now there's an idea. Have a standard flattop emt setup and underneath run a pvc pipe arch diagonally . A "hybrid hut" ? The arch would eliminate rain pooling and also allow various stuff (lights, laundry....a noose) to be hung below.

Re: Flattop shade design questions

Just curious if anyone has put a little drain fitting into the middle of their tarp roof and a hose connected to it going to a bucket/water bottle ?

Re: Lag screws vs everything else...

It was so long ago that I started reading the first post of this thread......what was the final consensus for the cheapest EFFECTIVE, CORDLESS wrench to handle the 14" screws ?
Thanks

CptSparkles;
Kind of like this :http://www.shelters-to-go.com/dome.shtml ? I was looking at these with the same idea.
Also, you'll find most muffler shops have tube bending equipment and will probably be fairly reasonable on prices (?)

"Gabled" Hut ??

I was wondering if anyone's used a "gabled" type hut with 1"emt. They'd only need to be 5' long so they'd travel easy enough. Was just wondering how it would handle the winds....?
Kind of like this :( http://www.shelters-to-go.com/dome.shtml)
