Re: The Bar 2014 Edition

Wow. I just noticed. This bar opened a year ago tomorrow! Does that mean we're getting close to shutting down the 2014 threads and opening new 2015 threads?

Re: I want to find every eplyan at the burn.

I can get a 20"x30" print done for $9. It's photo paper like output, so while it will get tacky if it gets wet it will not run like a plotter print out will.

I just need a good image of the city to print.

Re: PANIC!! Button of DOOOOOM!

My latest reading tells me that the CDC still does not know the possible vectors for Ebola. They have identified a likely reservoir in the bats that are prevalent in the regions of Africa with Ebola outbreaks. Not knowing the vector puts the WHO and CDC at a strong disadvantage, as transmission dire...

I got one of those passport cards last time I renewed. It's the only ID I use anywhere except at DMV anymore. The stores hate it because they can't scan it to steal your: Name Address Height Weight Birth date Vision restrictions Vehicles you are allowed to operate And in some states, including mine,...

Well, this is a work in progress that is nearly finished! I finally moved my main email server over to my combined email server. Now all five domains are on the same server. FINALLY! The best part is I did it without missing a single email. Just need to move the last website over to the new web serv...

Thank you both! That is precisely the information I was looking for. I had a itch in the back of my brain that 12" wheels were "BAD" but no data. Faster spin, more heat. Yup bad.

Minimum tire/wheel size for utility trailer

I've been poking around and can't find a reference. Does anyone have a recommended tire/wheel size for a utility trailer. I will be dragging it from Delaware to Las Vegas to The Playa next year. I want something that will handle the load and the distance. I currently have a 4'x8' Harbor Freight trai...

Let's just hope the new reports that children were exposed in Dallas doesn't actually result in any new cases. OK, I have first person experience with hemorrhagic fevers. In 1989 I spent a week in an induced coma with Korean Hemorrhagic Fever (hantavirus). Most of that time I had a 105.9 degree fev...

Entropy concerns me, but I hear nothing can be done. You are just looking at it wrong. If you look at the universe with the arrow of time reversed, then entropy is decreasing - and that is bizarre. Consider the following scenario: You have a room filled with coins on the floor, and every single one...
