Re: Burlap over a carport

Given how much drier it is on the playa than most other places, I imagine you'd get better cooling than 10 degrees. Who knows... You might get 15!

I beg to differ, but I also brought a patch kit just in case!
I can't sleep on a cot. Too narrow and I have yet to find one even remotely comfortable.
A hammock would be perfect except for the severe lack of trees.

Re: Dutch Auctions are the answer for how tickets should wor

The first year, hordes of people will bid $1000 figuring that "the other guy" will bid lower and I'll get my tickets for their price too. Then the auction will close with 50,000 tickets sold in under an hour and a whole lot of people defaulting on their bid. The next year will be slightly better.......

Re: Bike Builders Unite

Nevermind, after much googling I found this: This is the "magic box" between your battery and your motor. Regular 24V DC electricity goes into the two controller battery wires and "pulse width modulated" 24V DC electricity comes out the three motor power wires to power the motor. This is not AC, but...

Re: Bike Builders Unite

There is a 5 or 6 pin connector. I am looking for a pinout so I don't accidentally hook something up wrong. I don't know if two of the leads are a speed (or other) sensor.
I know two of the leads are power, I just don't know which two.

If I can't get tickets in the main sale, I'd be happy to get my hands on an $800 presale ticket. I couldn't afford it then. I will be able to afford it in the summer. That's not going to stop me from diving into the main sale, but I like knowing that people like this guy have the tickets to sell. Th...

This has me wondering, if someone were to stick their parking pass on a bit of clear plastic and put that against the window, thereby avoiding the whole "how do we get this off the rental", would that automatically be considered as an attempt to defraud on the vehicle pass part of the whole thing? ...
