I am so sorry this happened to you! My one worst experience in all my years on the playa was the exchange between myself and the miscreant that thought it was funny to walk by my camp with a running lawn mower, throwing a 15 foot plume of dust all over my camp. I was at greeters that night and I did...

Yup - I appreciate the "deeply and humbly apologize" part, but these letters leave a very bad taste in my mouth (pun intended). I'm interested in what the general consensus is among us before I respond.

In fact, although we had 3 different sizes of hexayurts, we also had an RV with trailer, pickup truck and trailer, 15 passenger van, passenger car and 3 carport structures. Think of yurts as an alternative to a tent that you have to put under a shade to keep cool. With that said, it takes a little b...

Re: Did we see you on I-80? Did we flash a sign at you?

My favorite had to of been the little white car that was packed to capacity with a hoard of young women and a luggage thingie on the top of the car. I think the license plates placed them from Indiana. The car was averaging what I guess to be about 45mph, I'm assuming because it was so overloaded w...

I lost all faith in the "spirit" of BM after I went to the medical tent. BM DOES have a responsibility to fix something if it's hurting people and they have knowledge of it. Too many people were unnecessarily hurt and I do blame BM for those injuries after the first day. YES - they could have burne...

KV - I think you may be talking about hexayurts. We built three in different sizes this year and I am a complete, total convert. They are virtually dust free and stay cool enough to sleep in during the day. There is a thread here with links to excellent how-to sites. We do still bring an old RV that...
