Although the business owner has lost his crop, I would be very surprized if there is any prosecution. Keep in mind that the feds have said they will not prosecute in states that have medical mj laws IF the individuals involved are following the laws of that state.

Spot on Igneouss.... In reality, if an officer is really interested in you, it is really not hard for him to find probable cause. Even if there IS no probable cause, are you going to pay an attorney and then pay to travel back to Lovelock repeatedly to fight the charge using a "no probable cause" de...

See the following at the NORMYL website: http://www.norml.org/medical/files/NVMedicalMarijuana.doc Law enforcement at the event includes County, State, AND Federal officers. The same JRS that you mentioned describes all of the officers who will be on playa. No matter what the Nevada laws are, a fede...

They do get specific placements and the Artery will likely have a map. There is an Audio Tour available of the art that has received grants. It is at http://www.burningman.com/installations/09_art_tours.html There will be a lot more art that will not be part of the tour - sometimes the act of stumbl...

Buying one is very easy, but there are registration fees and taxes - which are considerable in California, particularly if you buy from a dealer and not an individual. I think you would be far better off to rent a vehicle and not worry about having to sell it later or arrange for insurance. I think ...

Correct, Unjon - and pretty much my point. They will find it very suspicious if a newly disabled person already has a mutant vehicle that does NOT already have a provisional permit. But I understand that it could happen - I have an MV that we have long planned NOT to bring this year, so if I got hur...

I don't think that'll be necessary on the play -- unless you brought the ants with you.
Formic acid, Phil. ;)

So what is the best first aid for burns now? Anything new under the sun?

I have made my own kit too, but since we have a lot more people in camp now, it's well stocked. Other than the usual, I bring pain killers and antibiotics to keep me on the playa "just in case". Is there anything out of the ordinary that people have found really useful to have in the first aid box? ...

If you have an "almost finished" art car, that means that it has a permit as a mutant vehicle because the date of your post is LONG past the date the mutant vehicle permit process closed. Right????? So your buddies finish it and you bring it in as an art car, since you have that elusive mutant vehic...

If you park in such a manner that you can move the RV in and out, you can pay the extra $20 to take the RV to Gerlach and fill up your tanks when you need to. Tell your neighbors that you will be back, ask if they need anything from town, and leave someone to guard your campsite so someone else isn'...

MyLarry's been doing it in a semi, I'll have to ask him how it has been. On the eastbound side, they split the lanes into two singles - one for cars, another marked for trucks, and both have guardrails on both sides. I took the one marked for trucks and was still nearly undone. It's not the waiting...

The lanes are so narrow that it feels like a luge - even in a standard size car. I can't imagine what it will be like in an rv with a trailer (or even just with a trailer). This will be a white knuckled trip for me.......
