Re: Deep cycle batteries to run kitchen lights

This is very feasible and easily done. One unit of "16.4ft 300 SMD 5050 LEDs Flexible Strip Lights, Daylight white" at your generic online retailer for $10 will light up a single carport quite nicely. In 2015 I used a deep cycle battery with this for my carport and the battery lasted for the whole b...

Technically, the event is 7 days long and starts on Sunday August 27th when they open the gates for the general population. The exact time they will open the gate is unknown at this time. The event ends the following Sunday September 3rd and you have until Tuesday the 5th to clear out. Some people ...

Re: Question about my bike

Did the rear sprocket thing to my bike and loving it! (of course I had plenty of extra chain bits lying around) If you have the cruiser already, re-gear it. You can put either a smaller sprocket up front or a bigger one at the rear wheel. You lose some velocity but the pedaling will be allot easier....

Re: Solar guidance needed

That's a great battery - overkill even but that's ok. It could work if you run the swamper for fewer hours per day than you get sun. The 100W panel definitely covers your needs when it's directly facing the sun but unless you constantly re-orient the panel thats a small percentage of the time. Then ...

Re: Solar guidance needed

These calculations are ideal and assume no losses. Your losses will likely be 20% give or take so the following should be adjusted accordingly. Running your system will take 6.7 amps, therefore your 35AH battery will be depleted in 5.2 hours if not being recharged. I would rate the battery as under ...

This is the kind of thing you need.
Swage tool
Not cheap at $230. If you only need to make a few it might be cheaper to find a vendor that does this work. Most larger cities will have someone who makes this kind of stuff for industry.
