Re: Fuck!

Fucking tenants! They are totally hypersensitive to this damn gas heater in the back room. First I replaced the heater because the old one wouldn't work - it was real old. Then last year they called the gas company because they think they smell fumes. Stupid gas company ordered it shut down until se...

Re: how much power does this light need?

figure some efficiency losses when you use the inverter. Thing is rated at 2 W probably by the time you invert your 12 volts it will cost you maybe 3 W. That's a fairly light load Then again, how efficient of an inverter you have and your battery capacity and other loads will all come into play. Wha...

Re: Get Your Coolers Off The Ground

I was thinking of bringing extra pool noodles (covering rebar with them as well) and putting the ice chests on 3 of them. Figured they are easier to pack and move than bricks, 2x4's etc. Seems to me they would work, there would be at least an inch if not more of space between the ground and cooler....

Ok So I don't have drill worth a shit otherwise I'd go with lag bolts for sure. If I put my tent where it has substantial wind protection from nearby structures shouldn't the 12 inch 3/8 nail be sufficient? I've done tons of backpacking in sometimes heavy winds so my gut says I'll be fine. But I gue...

We staked down a hippie just outside our camp last year, (think Lilliputians) and he didn't move the whole week.
How many of those days was he still breathing? The rest don't count.
Only one hippie? I'd think you'd have no problem finding hundreds at BM.

Re: Hard sided A frame trailer

To protect the playa from black tire "burn" spots, you also want something you set down on the playa to drive the tires on to. Trailer & car. Dollar store thick plastic place mats or cutting boards are a cheap solution. Find your spot, stop. Mats tight to the front of all six wheels, drive forward ...

Welcome! I went to Taiwan 3 times on business and loved it. (Taichung / Houli).
