I'd say hockey equipment bags, but that might out me as a Canadian.

Re: Getting carded on the playa

I feel like I'm going to need to bring a sat-phone, just so I can phone my friend that recently completed his masters in Russian history.

Getting carded on the playa

Perhaps a silly question, perhaps not. I'm definitely of legal drinking age, but I have heard that the theme camps slinging drinks will check ID to cover their asses (and rightfully so). Is a photocopy of my driver's licence generally considered good enough? The prospect of losing my ID 2000+ KM awa...

Re: Electrolyte drinks

Does anyone happen to know if there's a REI in Fernley? That's where we'll be getting our grocery on.

Electrolyte drinks

As I cannot stand the taste of Gatorade, I set off in search of other alternatives. I've seen lots of people recommending Vitalyte on here, but it doesn't appear to be available in Canada. I find some whatever brand of powdered drink at my favourite bike shop, but I didn't think I'd need a powder ke...

Re: Has anyone used these goggles before?

The women in my group all seemed to like theirs when we tried them on at the last meeting. They're fairly concave and have some flex in them to allow for a bigger/wider head. The ones we got are yellow to smoke. Anna - care to chime in if you see this? If you get them and they don't work, you could ...

Re: Has anyone used these goggles before?

I picked my order up from the post office on Friday. Me and my camp mates are very pleased with the results. We had fun trying these and our zentai suits on at our camp meeting last night :)

Re: Camera Issues

Silly question, but for everyone storing it in a bag, are you taking it out to use it? I just tried shooting with mine inside a baggie and it definitely acts as a filter and would screw up some shots, but if you are concerned about getting perfect shots, why use a P&S?

Re: Safely stowed or swinging loose? Question for the boys..

I'm part of the "cannot stand boxers one bit" crowd...it just feels like I have my swim trunks on underneath my pants. Boxer briefs FTW. If dust is an issue, I will just include the boys in my nightly foot washing ritual. However, I plan to wear nothing at all when in a sarong or similar f...

I'm part of a group of 10 first timers headed down from Regina...good to know there will be more prairie folk out there! The Saskatchewan Burners group on Facebook is fairly active if you're at all interested in linking up with fellow Canadians.

Re: Has anyone used these goggles before?

I believe I went with the yellow to smoke because I read somewhere the yellow is supposed to be better at night. At least I hope it will be, as I ordered 8 pairs :)

Re: cooling your tent or van

I apologize in advance, as this has likely already been asked and answered in this thread (I went through all 22 pages, I swear!), but for the "orange Home Depot bucket" style, how much do you fill the bucket at a time?

Re: Has anyone used these goggles before?

I'm getting mail, but I don't typically really get much as any bills I can get delivered online I do. There is apparently still a rather large backlog of mail (http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2011/07/12/canada-post-mail-delivery.html) but I think they're trying to do what they can to get it take...

Has anyone used these goggles before?

I am organizing a goggles group buy for my crew and was wondering if anyone has any experience with these. This site seems to have the best price I've found so far and shipping to Canada seems reasonable. http://www.maximumeyewear.com/productfolder/transition-lens-sunglasses/transition-lens-goggles/...
