Re: Fat Tire Bikes

Don't forget spare bike innertubes, a LOCK, a basket (perhaps), and chain lube (White Lightning clean ride is nice). :)

Never leave your bikes unlocked, even at the portos. Lock bikes to themselves so they can't be ridden, if there is nothing else.

Or if there's an "Amber Alert" and some idiot 17-year-old is out screwing her boyfriend and is reported "missing" the entire place can get shut down for hours--I'm talking about eight hours--and you are hostage to the P.C. Nazis. So there really isn't any answer to that question...

Artificial tears are just eye drops made specifically to moisten your eyes (instead of clearing redness). I don't like redness reducers because frequent users can have a rebound effect where your eyes are red daily unless you use the drops. So for me, artificial tears are better. A bottle of eye sal...

Spreadsheets are wonderful! . . . Although I admit, I like Word documents even better. I use "insert table" and then make two columns of lists per page, with a small ticky box on the left so I can check things off as I pack them. Camp furniture, Tools, Bag of Wandering, Clothes, Food, Drin...

Bring your supplies every year, even if you're not supposed to get your period at the event, as stress or other factors can bring your period on unexpectedly. You might not end up needing 'em, but if you do, boy will you be glad you did. There's also the possibility you'll save someone else who didn...

Thanks a lot for the replies guys! Most places with big power needs, sound camps, large villages, DPW depot and ghetto, First Camp, Glitterati, etc will have the big-ass diesel generators. An excellent point. I am so avoidant of large camps and sound camps (near my living environment, anyway) that I forget that those places have som...

Re: How bad are Diesel fumes at BRC?

I've never smelled diesel fumes there, either. If you're camping right next to someone's RV or someone's genny, pay attention to where exhaust and other smelly (or noisy) things are before you set up, and ask them what times of day they run their generator. Most people will try to be good neighbors ...
