I always have Baileys (among other things!) on hand at BM for the morning coffee, aka "Joe's Joe", and have had no issues.jpx wrote:how come? does it go bad?Baileys would also be a pretty bad thing after a few days on the playa

This is my 'playa punch' recipe. I've had a million drinks called that, of course. Here's my spin.
The amounts are totally variable. Mix until you get it right.
Mango juice (you can get this bottled)
Pineapple juice
Sunny Delight (I hate it, but it's what we had when this was invented)
Light Rum
Spiced Rum
Vodka
Tiny bit of triple sec
I mixed up about a gallon and a half of this stuff a couple years ago and filled up boda bags with it and everyone went their various way. We all got back HOURS later with excellent stories of drunken debauchery. It's a hard hitter.

Thanks to Addis, I had more free time.
Ooh, ooh...And since it's the roller disco, you have to have a Liquid Cocaine!

Everclear
Shake on ice
Serve as shots...RESPONSIBLY. These are serious.
It only burns for a minute and it only takes one, maybe two shots to be all aboard the train to Shitfacedville.

#1 Mega Mudslide
One shot each of:
Bailey's
Kahlua
Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
Creme de Cacao
Dooley's Toffee liqueur
A few suggestions:
a) I prefer spiced rum (don't use more or it will mask the other flavors) but I imagine if you used a more subtle flavor like coconut or vanilla you could probably put in more;
b) Try adding any of the following to change it up: unsweetened dark chocolate syrup, creme de mint, vanilla extract, amaretto, almond extract, butterscotch schnapps, coffee
#2 Sweet Home Alabama Slammer
1/2 shot each of:
Jack Daniels
vodka (non-flavored)
Southern Comfort
dark rum
with some orange juice and dash of grenadine. Add a cherry to make it fancy.
There a few substitutes/additions you an make including:
sloe gin
amaretto
dask of lemon juice
cranberry juice

I discovered it, i didn't name it...
Jade Kiss:
tall glass with ice
lavish shot of Tuaca
fill to an inch short of top with ginger ale*
top with, no kidding, 1/2" Rose's* Lime Juice
aArnish with a lime slice, stir gently and you have summertime in a glass
You can also make it with coke if real ginger ale is not available, then it's a Tigerlily.
*Ginger ale needs to be the real stuff, not that "bar ginger ale" crap that's a mix of coke and sprite. If you don't have real ginger ale, please make a Tigerlily.
*Doesn't need to be Rose's brand specifically, that Major Whatsisname stuff works fine.

Drink tip...
Hello there!
We do a lot of back yard entertaining around our pool. Although everyone getting ripped in the first 30 minutes can lead to naked fun, we often prefer a way to help people still drink a lot, yet be able to walk.
One simple way we've found is to turn any popular rocks or shot drink into a highball by adding club soda, ice and a touch more mixer.
Apple martinis, fruit shots....we've had tons of success doing this. Same alcohol content in a nice fizzy concoction that is very, very refreshing in the sun!

Black Rock Rum Punch
OK, here is my Playafied rum punch recipe. I worked on several variations over the summer. If you like caribbean style rum punch, I think you'll enjoy it.
One part cheap ass rum in a plastic bottle
One part Minute Maid Light Orange Drink (in cans, low carb)
One part Minute Maid Light Cherry Limeade (in cans, low carb)
1-2 shakes of bitters.
Adjust strength to your liking. It's also great mixed 4-1 instead of 2-1.

Chocolate cake
This is a simple one, have never met anyone who doesnt like it, i even like it and i dont have a sweet tooth. Mix half frangelico, and half vodka in a large shotglass/small tumbler. Roll a small lemon wedge in sugar, take the shot then bite the lemon. It has almost the exact same taste and even texture as german chocolate cake.

Re:
Figment has a Kamakazi recipe that he can mix in a 5 gallon bucket and it's always yummy never had to keep too long though hehehemdmf007 wrote:I owned a bar for about 30 minutes after my fathers passing, but have a question I cant answer.
Can I batch mix large amounts of drinks - like sours, screwdrivers, etc and have it be ok hours later if kept chilled? We envision a 50-60 gallon glass vessel we use in the lab for fermenting as a drink vessel, with a cololing loop of RSW running through it. Since were lazy, and want to keep a buzz on this seems like a good way to go.
Never tried before was wondering if anyone has.
