Mutaytor

Post by Moonpie » Tue Jul 03, 2007 2:59 pm

I was one of the huge crowd of people in the crowd in 2004 and was totally mesmerized by the Mutaytor performance. I couldn't get close enough!! One of the most incredible evenings of my life.

Also, since I'm in So. California, have gone to a couple of Mutaytor performances here. They are truly awesome and I'm unbelievably excited to see them return to the Playa.

You have me and my friends support. We'll all see you on the Playa.

We were lucky enough to see Mutaytor play to a small crowd at Cirque Berserk last year. Then Dr megavolt turned up!!! Awesome.

ok you got us.

while we have not done a serious production with all the bells and whistles since 04, it drives many of us crazy to be on the playa and not play, so for the last 2 years, a small handfull of us usually end up doing something spontaneous on borrowed gear at least once during the week.

nothing wrong with that, those kind of spontaneous productions are usually my favorite. not that large shows arent great, it just strikes me as less of a scene and more accessible and at home to a place like the playa.

Wish I were going this year... I was at that performance in 2004 (as well as your performance at Xingolati)... surely one of the best blocks of hours at the entire festival!

Glad you were able to find a camp to host you and nothing but the best of wishes to all of you. :)

Buck, glad to hear you guys are doing the show at BRC. It will be one of the highlights of the Burn for me this year.

The storm shall to pass...and Mutaytor will rise again from the playa dust from whence it came, bigger and better than ever and I'm looking forward to witnessing it.

Glad to see you guys charging ahead, looking forward to the new material and I bet there's gonna be a playa full of burners glad to have you home also.

Much love and respect from Georgia

I'm very happy to know you guys are returning to the Playa I was part of the Pinky's crew (R.I.P.) and I have very fond memories of you guys pulling up next to the prim patty on a flatbed truck, and pushing our party over the top. Thanks for returning!!

Performance on Friday

Post by jdmdiamond » Mon Jul 23, 2007 8:13 pm

Dan Das Mann has a giant fire spectacle planned for Friday night too. He's going to burn down a 99 ft. tall Oil Derrick with 2,000 gallons of propane. Is Mutaytor going to beat that? Or join it maybe ??? It's going to be a busy night trying to catch both shows. After all that fire who will care about "burn night" anymore!!

I was going to skip the burn this year until I heard Mutaytor was going to be doing a show. One of my fondest memories from 2004 was your show and how fucking much you rocked.

Loved the DVD filming show and LIB too but back on the playa? Hell Yeah! Let's Fuck Shit Up!

gettin excited

Post by Ms Mutaytor » Tue Jul 31, 2007 8:29 pm

Thanks so much for all the support everyone! I'm really getting excited myself. I took last year off after 11 burns, so this year will make a cool dozen.

Now I just have to finally update my long-needin to be updated burning man essentials list....

Know how much it means to not only me but the entire crew.

2004 was my first trip Home. And of all the amazingly cool shit there is to see and do out there on the playa YOUR SHOWS blew me away the hardest and made the deepest and longest impression on me. I've seen your shows at the Fillmore and the Independant, but it always kinda saddened me that you stopped putting on full-scale shows on playa after that year, because that's where (in my mind) you belong.

I know what can make 10,000+ people shout 'Holy Fucking SHIT!' in unison at the top of their lungs. And I cannot wait to see it again.

(And I'm sorry you had to put up with the crap of the past year, and see it dredged up again here. Thank you for putting up with us dust monkies.)
