Funk & Hip-Hop on the playa - MoPo's schedule

MoPo from Fringe Arts Collective just posted a great blog on his Tribe profile. Tells about some of his past experiences at Burning Man, and the musical journey he's been on along the way. Those who are in a hurry but do want to find out where he'll be playing his brand of funk & hip-hop beats on the playa, see below.

MOTION POTION PERFORMANCES AT THE BURNING MAN FESTIVAL
MONDAY: 11:00 PM at OPULENT TEMPLE - 2:00 and Esplanade
Basically - this is the baddest DJ camp ever, and they're fantastic people. Big props to Syd and his crew who have collected some of the finest talent ever to play for fere ANYWHERE.

TUESDAY: 11PM - ??? - GARAJ MAHAL ART CAR (with Mutaytor, David Starfire & Wolfie) - Somewhere on the Playa
Garaj Mahal is a tried-and-true oldschool camp based in LA and SF and theyre awesome people. This night the whole 'Taytor will roll around on a massive art car and wreak HAVOK.

WEDNESDAY: 11:30-2AM - TSUNAMI STAGE - 4:30 and Esplanade
A great fixed, live music installation on the Esplanade. Ill play for a bit before Mutaytor, then for about an horu after.

THURSDAY: Time TBA - A CAVALLO ART CAR - Somewhere on the Playa
Killer live-music mobile setup from this amazing New York crew.

FRIDAY: 9PM-11:15PM - CRUDE AWAKENING - deep playa
This is the big one folks. The show it's taken the Mutaytor THREE FREAKIN YEARS to manifest. Basically, Dan Das Man has created a massive oil derrick in the deep playa. On Friday night, Mutaytor plays its biggest set EVER, then the derrick explodes with a flame that is said "to turn night to day". After that Motion Potion spins for an hour. Not to be friggin missed!

FRIDAY: 5AM-SUNRISE - REDNOSE DISTRICT BIGTOP - 9:30 and Esplanade
Ive got more new stuff planned and prepared for this sunrise set than anything Ive ever done. Im following Bassnectar and Freq Nasty so you know it will start off hot and heavy. After that, it's all "Sunrise Surprise". If youve been to Bonnaroo, you know what that means.

SATURDAY: 1:30-2:30AM - REDNOSE DISTRICT BIGTOP - 9:30 and Esplanade
Bigtime afterburn set. BLVD plays before me and Dubscience Soundsystem after. Ill be doing a bit of sit in with both of them. The circus tent will be the place to be after the BURN.
