Heres the perfect song:

THE BLACK FLAG
(Tune: O Tannenbaum)

The people's flag is deepest black,
The red one's for the bureaucrats.
The "workers' state" is just a way
To let the revolution fade away.

CHORUS:
So raise our blackest banners high,
The people live, only leaders die.
The working class will smash the state,
We'll shoot the vanguard while we wait.

Let's smash Amerikan imperialism,
Let's fight all ghosts and monsters too.
Leftist leaders would rather see
A good slogan than a real victory.

CHORUS

Lenin, Stalin, Mao, and Trotsky still
Forgive us if we're feeling ill.
The working class won't kiss your arse,
The "workers' state" is just a farce.

CHORUS

People's army, people's war,
People's police, and people's laws.
You'll protect the "workers' state"
Till workers cease to agitate.

CHORUS

Who are the people you talk about?
Power to yourself, we have no doubt.
You just ride on the workers' gains,
But we want more than a change of chains.

CHORUS
Dirt is not dirty!

Comrade Rocket,The Ruling Bodies of Club Verboten will be paying special notice to you in the coming days and weeks.Already interviews are being conducted amongst cadres of all stripe to learn who may have leaked certain information.
You see Comrade Rocket we have scheduled one night of pure Psych 60's.I Had Too Much To Dream,See Emily Play, the aforementioned Hurdy Gurdy Man etc,and your selection, who we prefer to credit to The First Edition, was a certainty to be played.
I personally prefer the thought that you understand SMOU 17 and its mission for The People.Yes comrades let us have more inspired choices and requests like Comrade Rockets.SMOU 17 is the Peoples Vehicle and will play The Peoples Music.................Omar Suarez President a"Vie

We were somewht taken back by the creative nature of the post of the so called "hippie-nz".Nonetheless this is just another empty shell fired by a movement headed to the trash can of history.

This"attack"is clear evidence of the desperate nature of their plight.Calcified bromides such as these are of little relevance to our popular masses.Secure in the knowledge that The State exists only for their greater prosperity and good they take great umbradge at any insinuation that their future and The States can be anything but completely and unalterably intertwined.

The Ruling Bodies, and indeed The State itself, exist only to serve The People. Can anyone associated with the Wellington Clique claim the same?If so we have seen scant evidence of it up to now.Reactionary and revaunchist movements such as Kiwi-ism are a dime a dozen and soon will be dealt with in revolutionary fashion.

All Glory to The Associated Satellite and Socialist States who vow allegence and Service to the Omnipotent and Correct Killbuck Line!

Comrade,Please inspect previous posts. There you will note an important and historic mention of The Presidents deasire and whim that all requests mentioned on this new and correct thread of The Associated Socialist and Satellite States will be,if at all possible, honored.

We are desireous of more requests. Here is your chance to make Project History by suggesting a tune never heard before from a Mutant Vehicle.

I wish only to please the esteemed Suarez and the great Killbuck. If the State desires such a tune, Light Up and Be Happy by Styx seems a reasonable consideration.

Here is your chance to make Project History by suggesting a tune never heard before from a Mutant Vehicle.
Any song off of Barbara Streisand's Yentl.

Played at 1/2 to 1/3 speed.

Or played backwards.

Really, it doesn't matter how you play it cause somebody's gonna get hurt.

Comrades,Some revolutionary and progressive requests. We salute and thank you for your frank and candid submissions.

Comrade Rocket,Amongst the many superstitions and bad omens left over from the previous regime that haunt and plague Our People is the playing on State Media of anything by the rock group Styx.We have overcome many hurdles in handing The People total freedom but I am afraid the time may not be ripe for such a drastic step.I am sure you understand.

Comrade Badger,We would love to honor your Internationalist and well thought out suggestion. However our humble and peace loving state lacks the resources in education, training and technology to undertake, what we would consider to be,the vital modifications of the Yentl selections your post requires.

Comrade Jafe,As a member of ASSS you get one(1) fraternal and automatic selection. As you submitted two(2) we assume you left the choice,of which of these iconic and forgotten melodies should be brought forth by SMOU 17,in the hands of The People. You will be pleased to learn that,in a unanimous vote,The State Operations Bureau has authorized"If I Had A Hammer"to be added to the Peoples Playlist forthwith.

Always for The Popular Masses.......Omar Suarez President a'Vie

...for the Hippy Detention Facility:

Procol Harum -

"Still there`ll be more"

I'll bathe my eyes in a river of salt
I'll grow myself right up to the sky
I'll sing in the forest, tear down the trees
I'll foul all the fountains and trample the leaves
I'll blacken your Christmas and piss on your door
You'll cry out for mercy, but still there'll be more

I'll put a blight in the orchard
I'll run wild through the fields
I'll waylay your daughter and kidnap your wife
Savage her sexless and burn out her eyes
I'll blacken your Christmas and piss on your door
You'll cry out for mercy, but still there'll be more

His Excellency would like to thank Comrades Rocketman and EDB for their suggestions.

In keeping with the generous nature of His Excellency the Procul Harem tune will be procurred.Truly historic and revolutionary as nobody has ever heard anything by this group besides Whiter Shade of Pale.

Comrade Rocketman,We are forwarding your request to our highest courts for interpretation on whether this song is considered"funk".As you may well know after the upheaval and strife that plagued our camp at Burning Man 2001,any mention of the word"funk",let alone playing it,was strictly, completely, utterly and correctly banned.

Glorious news for all comrades that love The People and their music.A test was undertaken on the recently installed sound system of SMOU 17 and all was found ready. This gift toThe People is near and comes to you through the communal and fraternal efforts of four(4)member camps of our forward looking Association of Socialist and Satellite States.

More requests please.SMOU 17 will play whatever The People desire.

Comrade,Are we socialist?Does a crow not fly from the east?Have not our words and deeds for The People, evident throughout this thread, been enough proof for you?Would we joke about the core reason we exist?Yes comrade,we are socialist in all that we do and more importantly in what we say.

Many would hope to become part of our Workers Paradise.Only those with a convincing history of struggling for The Popular Masses and a sharply honed mind conversant in the tenets of The Killbuck Line in bi-furication with Suarez Thought and Principle can hope to reap the many benefits provided for by The Ruling Bodies throughout our camp.Either that or a warped sense of humor ae are always looking for kindred spirits. Thank you, Omar Suarez President a'Vie

...songs that make sense coming out of a fog at 5am.

Most glorious President, I have been pondering long and hard on this perplexing sound mission. My first thought was a glorious vision of SMOU17 emerging from the predawn mists of our beloved Playa to the delicate and magical soundings of Comrade Glen Campbell singing to us of the glorious work he has done as Lineman for the collective good of the people not only in Wichita, but for all peoples. While this message of dedicated service to the Peoples in searching in the sun for overloads along the wires that sing to him is a hallmark vision of sacrifice for the greater good of the Peoples, I realized there was so much more in the offering from many comrades among us.

Comrade John Denver singing to us of the glorious country roads taking him home to healthy breeding stock mountain mommas that ensure a strong future for the Peoples. Yes, a song of keeping our dreams alive for generations. What could be more glorious?

Comrade James Taylor singing to us of the glorious struggle of the brave men that bring the People's food home to market. Sitting alone by their fires thinking of the fine Peoples's women and glasses of the Peoples's Beer but still willing to sacrifice all int he name of ensuring sustenance for the Peoples.

All of these examples illustrate some aspect of the righteous plight of the Peoples. Personifying the ideals of being a unified people through individual sacrifice for the greater good of the Peoples. But I realized as glorious as all these words from these comrades are when strung together in their songs, we needed to squeeze more from the lyrical song magicians of the Peoples's Collective.

So, after many weeks of agonized self introspections of what it means to be One of the many Peoples, I humbly submit a selection by one of our most esteemed Comrades, Barry Manilow. Comrade Manilow has selflessly been writing the songs for eternity to fill the Peoples's heart and make them dance. An eternity of sacrifice for the benefit of all the Peoples. I ask you my brothers and sisters, what better example could one find that truly sums up sacrificing the self for the many?

Well, you can but it is not advised as you will soon experience a shortage of sand.

Comrade,If such was the case it would only mean that our vigilant and stalwart toilers have found yet new ways to benefit from Virgin Lands that all but a few find useless.Such is the zeal in which our masses undertake tasks that glorify The State.

Comrade Smashy,Your epic and concise deliberation on a song selection for SMOU 17, cloaked in glorious socialistnewspeak is welcomed.Tell us of which Mr.Manilow selection do you desire? His Excellency is rather reluctant, and even embarrased to confess, that he can seem to recall no examples of his work.

merely the proper targeting of destructive lifestyles to selectively suppress certain memories...

...and it sounds as if Comrade Gyre is possessive of certain informations that until his untimely disclosures were possibly considered state secrets. Perhaps his name should be forwarded to the proper committee for further investigation. All in service to the People, of course.

I am deeply saddened by this revelation.

Comrade Manilow's selfless sacrifice for an eternity has gone unnoticed by his Excellency? He wrote the very first song for the Peoples in I Write the Songs (hint hint), in Can't Smile Without You he sings of the heartache and deep depressive sadness of being seperated from the glorious works and unity of the Peoples, Copacabana sings to us of the glorious heyday of our lost Havana playground and in Daybreak he sings to us of the glorious rising of the sun across the vast Nations of the Peoples's Paradise.

Comrade Smashy,Lost Havana?Perhaps you are confusing us with some friends of yours. No comrade,The Star of Socialism still waves proudly over the beaches at Veradero.

Mr.Manilow sounds dangerous. His past will need to be investigated thoroughly to satisfy our curiosity on,what you describe as,his hypnotizing effect on the masses.

Comrades. Might I make a suggestion.

In The Time Of Our Lives - by Iron Butterfly. The opening bars of this song have always reminded me of a steam locomotive building up speed in Siberia. Perhaps carrying workers to a re-education camp. Such a thing should surely warm the hearts of the people.
Dance in the heart of chaos. . . . .
