I don't know what company makes the Esplanade, but it sounds like a big 'Sport Ugly Vehicle' to me.
Or maybe a french roadster?
The Allante body was designed and built by Pininfarina in Italia and mated to a special gm chassis in the usa.
Many american cars have heavy foreign content.
It used to be said that the Honda Accord was the most american car in terms of parts content and assembly.

the "ring road" around Center Camp is

um... I tend to be pretty forgiving but I frankly think that some of the spoof ones we were coming up with are as good or better... oh well. What's in a name?

A
B
C
etc.
A plan is what you vary from.

Destiny Lounge 3D will be at Bradbury and 3:15 this year as a part of the 404: Village Not Found group of camps! Come see us!

I liked it when the streets were named after the planets. None of this wimpy "A" "B" "C" stuff!

Every single one is from an American car company. Allante was a high end Cadillac from the 80's and 90's.

Really great name choices!

Cars!?! Cars!?! You know i was watching the boob-tube the other night and saw a comercial that stated that the quality of a certain Ford car was equal in quality to a Toyota!!! THE American car company (according to my mechanic man) the one that started it all, now compares it's quality with a car that isn't even American. sad, very sad. (I have nothing against foreign cars, I drive a Micro-bus)

I wont be able to remember many of those names. Not household words, when you come from a household that doesn't worship exstinct cars.

Streets named after cars brands at Burning Man are indeed seriously lame, uninspiring of a week of artistic living unless they demand correction on a gurilla level. But then after last years' art improve it may not be advisable to stimulate such rebellion in the masses.

Again this is lamer than lame. More meaningless than meaningless. Heads should roll!

Not all of those are extinct. All are "household words" that most Americans are familiar with.

I like it. The automobile is a HUGE part of the American Dream!
I could easily come up with way better choices for the cars, but what the hell does Larry know about cars, it'll do.

It's at least as good as most recent year's names.

Ha, the streets fit in with the kitschy 'drive America' dream for sure.

My Grandma drove a Corvair for a time up in a little Montana town.

In high school my best friend had an Edsel he absolutely adored, babied it like a rare classic, he may still have it...he told me that the concave hubcaps could be used to start fires

If the roads went to V you know there'd be a Vega Street :)

Fuck it, if we're gonna celebrate branding and marketing these cover a larger portion of the economy.

Although, I am going to refer to H as Hupmobile no matter what the signs say.

Those are ALL American cars! And most are from the "good old days" when they were VERY American.

Some of the other lists suggested here contain foreign cars, and when the theme is "American Dream" I sorta' think they should be American cars.

I still like the whole idea and think it goes great with the theme.

The Edsel was actually way ahead of its time in a lot of ways... I think it was the first car to have a lot of controls on the steering wheel itself. I saw one driving down the street about a month ago, too.

The K-Car is an interesting choice because it was Chrysler's first successful model after being bailed out by the federal government! Lee Iacocca rode that boxy little number to executive stardom.

Cripes, I forgot Cunningham, a true american sports car.
Since I have seen every model he made, including the big Cadillac powered car at Le Mans that the french called Le Monstre, I really should have remembered these.
The collection is at the Collier Museum in Naples now.
