BurningMan ver. 2.0 beta with google sidebar

Post by Simon of the Playa » Fri Oct 26, 2007 9:59 am

Is everyone happy with the new, upgraded, re-burnable Man with google sidebar?

the widgets ARE pretty amazing, and they seem to have most of the bugs worked out (except for these large black cricket like things i saw this year on the playa....they looked like evil locusts)

the burn speed is good, and i'm not having any compatibility problems with my legacy burns, or my old burnware.

My big question is, with the advent of the 3-d flyaround world, why not do a virtual burn?

ok....first you take a large fan, then turn it on in your living room, then empty all of your vacuum cleaner bags in front of it...

next, turn on your stereo as loud as possible...louder....LOUDER!
play bad techno until you like it. until you LOVE IT.

then take off all of your clothing, and throw it into a pile in the middle of the room.

drink plenty of water, duh...

choose whatever drug you'll be taking, Create a New BurnerZwinky tm Avatar and plug in the new art-car joy-stick module, and off you go...

Dance Dance Immolation will be available for Wii, and Ps3 by christmas.

the truth is so much stranger than fiction.

Don't forget to set your heater thermostat way up during the day time, then switch your AC on and turn that way down at night. Or is that one of the widgets on the sidebar. They're a little hard to figure out.
It's hard to have a normal conversation with someone with 6' acrylic rods strapped to your back.

i've known for years that the DPW sets up HUGE fans on the edge of the playa, and periodically cranks those mothers up for our regularly schedualed dust storms...

this year, with the new burnware, dustorms will be ON DEMAND!

how cool is THAT?

Redwood City, Ca.

In a stunning decision, Google Executives today have entered into a "White Knight" agreement with BMLLC, in order to fend off the expected "date-rape" and hostile takeover by Microsoft.

Google will now be gifting all of it's advertising spots and in return, will begin the process of turning it into a non-profit orginization whose sole directive will be the perpetuation of the Burning Man meme, only globally and virtually as well.

Google will debut it's new application "GoogleNude" on March 1st.

I've told many people about DPW doing that. People seem genuinely surprised until I point out that the Depot is exactly in the direction the winds are coming from. You can watch the lightbulb go on in their minds. People need to ride around more and see what's really going on...

I am very disappointed that they are not releasing an Xbox 360 version of this game!!! My landlord, on the other hand, is very pleased that they are not.
