All of the Playa dust that stuck to my stuff from the last Burn has lost it's aroma... it's time to return and get a refill, perhaps take some Playa dust seasoning back for my food...

Oh yes, the itch is really bad... days are slowing down, only to speed up once my foot touches the Playa.

I feel like I'm back in school, staring at the clock. I'm waiting for it to hit 3pm, but it's only 10am.

Weapons on the playa

Did the Supreme Court ruling mean that anybody can own a gun on the playa. Hey they overruled gun bans in DC. Maybe we can bring back the machine gun shotting range of 1996.

Final vacation approval from work came in.

I got my yearly bonus check and bought almost everything I needed for the year.

My playa gift project is almost complete.

I'm starting on costumes.

I can't believe how close it is. Can't wait to see all you all at your finest, and by 'at your finest' I mean covered in dust.

Soon...

You could have started a burn where you were.
i think some other countries would get it much quicker.
I watched some south american kids going to school by hanging on a roller and skating over a mountain canyon on a cable.
They used to do it on a rope.
Still no safety harness.

I'm guessing anyone that plays buzkashi would be up for a burn.

You could have started a burn where you were.
A relative called a week or so ago to say he was fishing in the pond behind Uday Hussein's bombed-out palace. Nobody was willing to eat the carp.

I'd say the Marines started some pretty good burns over yonder.

Anyone who plays buzkashi for fun is already a burner.
You could probably organize a burn there without a translator.
I can't even get burners here to organize coffee.

Probably handy to have energetic oxidants available.

I watched our local 4th of July parade and counted the bikes and art cars with playa-tire, spontaneously pointing and yelling "I see PLAYA!!" The drivers would zero in on me in the crowd and smile or wave ..... (wistful sigh)

Early entry pass conflict with opening gate wait

I have a question for any burner who has been at the gate near opening... I have my first early entry pass, but forseeing my arrival sometime this evening and never having been at the gate waiting for the official opening, I don't know how it works for lining up off the main road and it there is a way to let gate crew know you have the pass? If I can get there anytime before midnight, would I still need to wait with the rest? Hope thats not too stupid of a question, but my brain is ready to implode.
