and the Man burns on the night of the 2nd one...
In doing a bit of reading on this, 2nd new moon is called a black moon in wiccan lore, said to be especially potent for magic...ahem
Just wondering if anyone else has thought at all about this...
I love this shit, and 2 new moons+burning man seems potent.

Had a harvest moon in 2001...the first year of the burn dust devils..one week before 9-11. All the dust you saw in NYC..the white drywall shit..alot..if not most...came from black rock. Empire is a town built on drywall..

I was taught that like a blue moon being the second full moon in a calender month. Just as rare would be the second new moon called the Fairy Moon. It is when the veil between worlds would be thinest.

Stop! Stop! You are driving me into the arms of the atheists! "Veal between the world is at its thinnest." What drivel, even before I got to it.

I have jewelry made from shit left after the man burned I can send you two if it will make you feel better.
It has been blessed by the dpw and touched by every member of the llc during a full moon and rubbed on a cat at midnight when the wind was still.

Was that a buffy reference, Badger?

I came back to Burning Man in 2003 when the planet Mars had it's closest approach to earth in tens of thousands of years. I figured I could wait for that to happen again.
