To those who enjoyed last year's epic lightsaber battle...

Hello! I was one of the many ecstatic participants in the mega lightsaber battle of '07, and am approaching the community with a hint of dismay. After doing some research, it seems like the organizer of last year's battle has passed the reigns of leadership over to someone else, and I have not been able to find any definite signs of a battle this year. The only evidence comes from this terse statement:

I for one truly enjoyed this fantastic opportunity to engage in reckless scifi swashbuckling and the subsequent invasion of Center Camp. As such, if there is no word on an official lightsaber battle this year, I propose that anyone who is interested in doing battle meet me and anyone else I can round up near the man at about 7-7:30 PM on Thursday. Bring whatever sort of light weaponry you might possess and we will duke it out.

I emailed the persons responsible for the lightsaber battle last year and here was my reply:

"HELLZ YEAH ITS HAPPENEING sorry i haven't been able to get back to yall (complications in the "real" world)"

Awesome! I've enjoyed the lightsabers out there the last two years. I was sad when I didn't see Watto's on the list of camps this year. Last year we helped set up the sign made of lightsabers at the camp.
