The person with whom I warped "feelin' groovey" with back in the dark ages and I also thought up "The Sound of Manson." Which started with Charlie getting out of prison, while all the other guards and inmates sang. Of course the highlight was going to be "My Favorite Things."

Wow.. yer doing alot of themecamps this year. This makes 3 themecamps. Just out of curiosity.. Whats the largest themecamp you have done? How many years have you been doing themecamps? Whats been your biggest problem with doing a themecamp? I'm having enough trouble trying to just get the cardboard domes done for the homeless camp participants.. still working on getting the fookin cardboard.

actually, i'm just being facetious, i used to do two or three different themes a day....

in 96 i was at checkpoint, center camp, 97 we landed in Hotel 666 by accident, and stayed (and weirdly enough met my friend's future husband before she did) 98 we were the Arthur murray School of Trance, 2000 i was with Videogasm, 2002 landed in Versed, 2005-2007 with Root Society, a BFRC.
(big fucking rave camp) i also sometimes volunteer at center cafe in the coffee palace taking out 'burnables' and collecting trash the hippies leave around. (last year i found 20 yummy pills....YES!)

i enjoy the theatre of the absurd, and the playa is the only chance i get to play around with social and political hot potatoes without fear of lynching.
