help! need a camp!
help! need a camp!
Hi there,
We are 2 burners and 8 virgins looking to join a camp. We have our own RV, tents, etc. but would be happy to pay dues to use the shower and the shade. We're all from San Francisco, youthful, outgoing, and super fun. We're ready and willing to participate in your camp goings-on as well. If you have any availability at this time, please do let us know!

Have not yet learned the value of planning. "Super fun" may mean the same thing.gualy6 wrote:youthful

hey guys,
i realize that to some of you this may be funny but I am just looking for any camp opportunities. It seems pretty un-burning man of you guys to be making fun. Not to mention it's pretty lame that you guys don't have anything better to do. That said, please only post helpful things here. Thanks.

Shower?
...
We bought a portable garage thingie from Harbor Freight in 2005 for, like $150. Sat in a dusty in the backyard until last Sunday when I chased off the critters, hosed it down and tried to set it back up without instructions or a parts list. Hell, I wasn't sober when I put it up on the playa on 2005, but it took me an hour and I didn't even cheat (duct tape and zipties)
I think it's going to be difficult finding a camp that has room for ten more people by this point because the registered camps have already been assigned space based on the dimensions on their application.

Yeah, one does wonder how someone who can't handle board snark is going to deal with bullhorn heckling... Burningman is a bit more Mad Max than Rainbow.

The irony in all this is that we PMed her when the post first came out yesterday saying we might have room.We were given more room than we planned on this year and could possibly fit them in.
Asked a few simple questions on how large the RV was and how many tents will be pitched etc.
Never heard back. She underwent four snarks in that time for nothing.

The Super K-Mart in Reno was sold out on shade structures went I passed through there last weekend, but you could pop-rivet beef jerky to a couple of beach umbrellas.
Amazing desert structures & stuff: http://sites.google.com/site/potatotrap/
