Looking for a GAY camp to adopt me last minute...

Post by makoona » Sun Aug 17, 2008 5:58 am

Been going to the playa since 04. This year most of my campmates and my partner are staying home. I'd really like to camp with a big or small gay group. I have: vw camper (sleeps 4), 2000 watt quiet honda generator, a/c for camper, digital projector/screen, ability to help with build/construction. Shy, easygoing, able bodied sort of person. Adopt me?

I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding adoptive camps, but if you don't, or you want to change camps, we are a small, camp (eight of us) one rv, one renovated bus, assorted tents, with two gay men, one undeclared man, and the rest fun women. We will be camping near E and 730--arriving Monday morning. I will be volunteering at Center Camp making coffees Tues, Wed, Thurs from 11am-3pm if you want to find me. I'm tall, slim, blonde, 50 years old, and I'll be wearing a little frilled apron. We are mellow but not dull--at least that's what I like to tell myself. Best of luck with your camp and have a great burn!

Hey Kitty,

Thanks for the invitation. Mellow sounds nice. I've camped in Hushville before. And in hike-in camping. I'm happy reveling until near complete and total exhaustion, but appreciate a quieter comfy camp that can help restore the body. I'll send a PM.

Oh, and that's me on the left as we're leaving in 08 after the mon-tues storm.

Room for one more....

You can always use us for a backup plan, Moonbow Camp at DArt and 330, we'll have room in the back, off the main street, so its quieter. Our only big event is the Gay Pride Parade on wednesday morn.

We're gay, many, and fun... Camp next to us!

Hi Makoona,

My name is Space and I'm camping with Comfort & Joy. We're a medium sized camp (70 ppl this year), we're gay, and we're a lot of fun. If you want to check out what we're all about, go here--->www.playajoy.org . I can't offer you a spot camping with us at this point, but I can tell you that there is a LARGE, blank, unregistered space right next door to us and you're welcome to camp there and hang out with us and whatnot. Comfort & Joy is located at 7:30 and Fairlane this year, we'll be throwing dance parties every night, we've got a couple of awesome drag cabarets lined up, we've got a ton of other stuff going on, and we're very inclusive and welcoming. In fact, we've got over 40 on-playa events planned right now and our early arrival crew is already there setting up the circus tents. Come by and say hi!

That also goes for any of you other gays who are looking for a fun place to hang out and/or camp.
