IIRC, Cornelius was the other main chimp doctor, his wife, Zera, and he rescued and later freed "Taylor" (Moses). *precipitating the first inter-species romantic kiss on movies........just before Ron Jeremy (the hedgehog) broke on the scene*

The orangutan was Dr. Zaeus (sp?).

i'm not sure what you're getting at ... but the faces look as much like monkeys as humans ...

what if the robots end up preferring monkeys to humans? they could gang up on us.....

or maybe the media is turning us all into monkeys...

for one week we are not told by our devices what to do, who to tweet, when to be somewhere, who to talk to

we become disconnected from the fact that the computers are flinging our poo for us.

we become truly human, or close to it, again, albeit briefly.

I highly recommend "electric Dreams" it's about AI and whether or not computers can feel...

i say, they already do. Watch the movie, it was made in 1984 and is Sir richard branson's first release under the (then) New Movie company, Virgin Films...

it's very symbolic, and was groundbreaking in introducing the soundtrack to narrative a la MTV, with all electronic music for the score, and a style suitable for "video"

its also a love story, and a take on cyrano.

and it's frighteningly prescient, when you consider when it was made.

"I'd like to buy a computer"

"Whaatya want, Apple, Pear or Wang"

the script is brilliant, and best of all, Bud Cort plays edgar, the missing link.

heres a gift to you e-playa, my take on this years theme, and what it means to me....watch the film and judge for yourself, it's not available in zone 1 for dvd here in the us,canada,or mexico and is extremely rare on vhs.....youtube it.

if i'm wrong, and you dont like it, well i misjudged, but something tells me even the most jaded of souls will find a spot in their crusty hearts for this story about ourselves, our Id, Ego, and Super-ego for lack of a better terminology....and the connection between the internet and our collective subconscious, and how it mirrors us in many ways, more so than we would like to admit (hence the plethora of porn and religion)

robots win, they are in control, but it is we, the humans, who must teach them to love.

we'll just have to do it in a lab, first.
