When does the new 2009 calendar open and accept new camp events?

Probably sometime after they begin listing the new theme camps and villages. Last year it began around the middle of April. By the looks of things, I would guess, oh, say the 22nd of August. This is what you get when you "hire" a bunch of hippies who can't hold a job to do the necessary work and refuse to pay them. After all, Burning Man was and has always been built on the back of volunteers. Maybe they should rethink their business model.

The inside scoop is that the Playa Events Calendar as we have known it will not be returning for 2009, but hordes (Ok maybe not hordes but a few members) of the web team are coming up with a new & improved version...
Look for announcements on the Hompage of the Burning Man Web Site & an upcoming JRS...

oh goody, i hope it is as ridiculously difficult and inane as last years...
under the influence of certain fungi, last years "who what where when why where kinda maybe sorta" guide made PERFECT sense.

Reverse alphabetical order would improve the guide. The Zymurgist Flocculation comes first!

Yes! Finally! What we really need is to be able to cross check at least three references, preferably with tech that doesn't like dust. Make it only available on trs-80s.

This includes events submitted before the deadline which will be in the print copy available on playa. And events that people continue to add after the deadline.
