fresh 2009 BM music thread

I spoke w/ a lot of peeps when making up the music calendar. No one mentioned FK5 as being back... But Root is being a little more sly about their sched. Lists of names but no times... So, they could slide right into a night's set... Anyone have more unofficial official word? I just HAVE to shake it to FK5 if they are going to be out there this year.

BTW, they have a nice break from their packed tour from 8/29-9/19...

Thanks to everybody who has contributed to this thread so far! Can't wait to meet and/or listen to some of this out on the playa. I hope this thread stays active for weeks to come, as I'm sure there will be plenty of stuff to add to it after the Burn.

Hi, we stumbled upon one of the domes after the burn, where they were playing this really raw, cool mix of tribal type music. People were dancing in the center all dressed in fur. The beats were low pitched and very tribal. I thought someone told me that was either The Do LaB and El Circo or the root society. I found Ana Sia's style to be very similar. Does anyone know who the DJs were and where to get those mixes?

Hi, I was camped near Pink Mammoth and I heard some kind of Billie Jean Remix from there on Saturday, I think. It has been stuck in my head since that time. I think the only way to excavate it from my brain, may be to hear the whole thing again...does anyone know which remix it is and where to find it????

If you wandered into Root Society you would know it..we had two massive domes and an outside uncovered dome. As far as I know only myself and s007ii were the only ones who recorded our sets. Not sure about other camps. You can get the mixes here:
