Feeds...
The BMIR feed is actually up and running, although not as well as last year. I'm not sure if they are in charge of the live webcam feed or not, but that is also up (and down) with ranger chatter @ http://www.ustream.tv/channel/burningman-live. For BMIR feed, try opening the .pls file @ http://listen.shoutingfire.org:12345/listen.pls in itunes, realplayer or winamp, or better yet foobar. (I found foobar2000 seems to handle web streaming better than most programs, as it has very little else to do). Please post any new web feeds here for all of us stuck away from home this year (especially video feeds). Thanks!!
OK, nvrmind! I believe Lenny Jones may be right. That .pls for the BMIR feed just keeps opening the same feed over and over. It sounds like a pre-recorded podcast. I know that last year BMIR's Eric started shoutingfire @ http://www.shoutingfire.org/ and was podcasting from there in BMIR style after the burn. That must be where the BMIR redirect is going. Anybody?!?

Video stream is far less glitchy than earlier, with more than 500 viewers! Camera is FAR better than last year, and close-ups have sensational resolution, given the circumstances. But the audio, anyone else been hearing mostly feedback for the last four hours? BMIR is still audible, as is chatter, but hard to hear over buzzing. Sounds like someone left an audio send turned up on a mic sitting in the audio shack next to the transmitters, or doesn't have a signal line fully plugged in, or some type of power ground loop... Anybody else hearing this??

Wow: Just for the record, its 9:06pm EST, the burn hasnt happened yet due to high wind and dust, and theres 4223 viewers on the ustream channel, and the feed is still gorgeous. I sure thank all those working the event, and hope that everyone out there is doing well through the huge dust storm and wind thats going through...

It's 6am in England and I've got up to watch the burn but all I have is a damn BLANK SCREEN and sound. So p*ssed off
Can they sort a webcam that will cope with a larger capacity next year? I've been watching the feed all week and now when it's the Burn, I see nothing. GUTTED

The final bit of the Burning Man (after the arms fell off looked like a Spear, which finally turned into a Burning Y before it finally dropped), came down at 00:04 Sunday Morning. That was a Very long double-header burn, am hoping everyone had fun watching the burn, I sure did!!
The Camera Crew is just awesome for manning the camera during the burn, Thank you for doing so! (Makes me want to return the favor to the camera operators by me volunteering to do the manning when I finally do go to the playa).
(Camp Envy! I LIKE that :)

Am sad that you missed the burn: Ustream seemed to hold up well here in California... Am curious now: Did anyone else from farther away on the planet have problems accessing the stream?

I'll be back at 6am UK time to watch the Temple burn - looking dusty out there though, hope it's not delayed for too long as I have to get ready for work at some point too!
