Theme Camps for Dummies

Post by veleda » Tue Aug 25, 2009 8:01 am

I was laughing the other day about 'bodhisattva bootcamp' otherwise known as running a theme camp..and have the idea of making a theme camp for dummies guide as a gift to burning man.

You know include everything from power tools and build plans to generators to volunteer management to LNT plans and implementations. I've been running theme camps for four years and there is a fuckton of shit to know.

Is anyone else interested in a fall/winter project like this or do you have best practices you would like to contribute?

sounds cool

PS: Do YOU know where I can catch a ride on the short bus? I keep hearing about it, sounds fun, but I can't figure out how to get on it. Must be an exclusive club or something.

This will be year 3 for me and I'd be happy to contribute to the project. I've sacrificed my sanity in a number of ways in the hands of my camp and the org.

I will probably have more wisdom to impart after this burn... 8)
