Janeite
First thought on the 2010 theme was Jane Jacobs' Death and Life of Great American Cities. Second was Christopher Alexander's Pattern Language. But then I have a very simple mind. Similar simple minds are welcome to say hello and share simple thoughts, or not.

Paul Goodman's Empire City
Paul Goodman was an anarchist, philosopher, and writer of moderate fame in his time. Now he's largely forgotten. His most popular book was Growing Up Absurd.
The Empire City was his exploration of becoming an anarchist in the greatest city in the world, and how one would have to be an anarchist to survive there and remain whole and sane. He would have understood and loved Burning Man.
