I'm looking for info to pass along to my brother, who is battling cancer and has made a late decision to make his first trek to BRC this year.
Somewhere in my memory banks I seem to remember a camp(s) or a village which have a cancer survivor program and discussions, but can't seem to find the info thru an eplaya search. He's got his basic camp/survival needs covered; wants to share experiences with others also battling cancer.
Can anyone help me point him in the right direction to this kind of camp?
Camp/Village for Cancer survivors
there's a walk to the temple
Let your brother know that there's a cancer walk to the temple, organized by Cinemagirl from NYC:
***
We're Still Here! And we're going to celebrate every minute of it.
Burner cancer survivors, our friends and families: Join us in walking
from the man to the temple Wednesday night to cheer and smile and be
damn glad we're still here. And honor those who have passed. And give
very serious love to those of us still fighting every day to squeeze
every drop of joy out of life that we can. Because we cherish like you
wouldn't believe.
We're meeting at the MAN (facing the temple) at 9pm and walk to the
Temple. It has become a reunion of sorts. It's moving. It's happy.
It's celebratory. It's about love and life.
And look for Burning Survivors to leave the playa and start impacting
your communities very soon. Like Burners without Borders, Burning
Survivors is going to be walking up a storm to try and help change the
world, one malignancy at a time.
