Some buddies and me are putting together a very metal performance for our local decompression. Depending on how it goes, we're contemplating keeping the project going throughout the year. We're talking heavy guitars, double bass drums, blood, fire, sexy girls dancing in cages, the whole nine yards.
Definitely listened to too much electronic music at the Burn this year, it's reciprocated with me being thrust into a metal binge.
Kill the DJs.

I'm so down for this, especially if there's a no-numetal policy complete with art of slipknot/korn/mudvayne members being hung
alright, maybe not the violent parts, considering the peaceful environment and all that, but it would be cool to have a booth to draw corpse paint on people, plenty of nails and duct (or electrical) tape to give people spikes, and other simple shit. or we can go all cheesy and get an assload of tin foil and make cheap armor XD

unless you're planning to do a death metal camp in Kidsville / not sure that'd fly though
You call it malt liquor, I call it breakfast.

One of my fav BM moments ever was when a couple of girls came running into our camp screaming "Oh my god, music with actual lyrics!"
BTW: some newer metal is actually O.K. check out Wolves in the Throne Room, or Baroness

I'm so pleased that someone's stomach is enforcing the purity of the genres.Truan wrote:I almost threw up when I saw that someone had called rammstein metal...

Calling Rammstien "metal" is like calling what taco bell serves "meat", its industrial-processed fermented-excrement soaked in meat/metal rendered grease, yet some how with a lot of quasi-racist advertising millions think it's great.

Please! Please! Please!
Last year was my first Burn, sure I knew to expect TONS of untz. But I was severely dissapointed by the lack of METAL. Even the fucking 'Death Guild' or thunderdome or whatever the fuck it was supposed to be was playing cheesey electro-rock or techno (WTF!) every time I passed by.
I searched that playa long and hard for some hard long nights of metal, much to my chagrin I found nothing. There was a punk band on a flatbed for the DPW parade, but that was about it.
Only ONCE did I hear an art car playing anything other than bass music, that was Hank III on burn night..
If there is anyone out there who will be doing anything remotely related to metal (theme camps, art cars, performances etc etc) I will show my full double fisted support.. I will camp and work at your camp, drive your art car, and bring dozens of animal skulls. That's right, real skulls. dozens of them. I live on a farm, we and our neighbors kill animals often (\m/ ><\m/). Goats, cows, sheep and pigs... I will supply piles of bones for your metal camp or car.
I want real metal. Death, grind, black, power, doom, drone and thrash. None of this Korn and rammstein nonsense.

BloodBath&Beyond isnt anything more than a Bloody Mary Bar, but we will be playing oldschool Punk and Metal. If you've anything to donate, we'd be glad....or pissed, depending on the time of day.A-RockLeFrench wrote:Last year was my first Burn, sure I knew to expect TONS of untz.
