So...I'm thinking I'll bring homemade cookies, a bottle of wine and...I dunno yet. I love mixing up cookies at home and baking em on playa and that would be easy to transport on my bike without worrying I'll spill something. After working all morning and getting married right after, I don't think I'll have any energy left to make anything else, lol.

I'll also probably be bringing my daughter Katria, my freshly married husband, Will, and his brother, Curt...if Curt makes it out. He said he's going to come out for the wedding but we'll see!

I can't wait to come to this although I'll be exhausted. It sounds like SO much fun!

How do you guys plan anything at Burning Man? This will be my fourth burn. Each time, everything that I did and everything that happened to me seemed so random. At first, I looked at the program and said, Cool, I'll go do that... And of course on my way to a planned something-or-other I got distracted and waylaid by something else. As a matter of fact, I think I may have stumbled by the MnG last year without knowing that the large group of people at Barbie Death Camp was actually all of you here; you who make me laugh so much and who help me plan my burn every year.

So, I'd love to make it, and I'd love to bring something to share, but I doubt if I can plan that far in advance!

I have no idea how I'm going to manage it. I've tried unsuccessfully in years past, but in fairness I had been involved in a massive Wednesday night into Thursday morning event on the playa, so by the time the meet and greet was starting up I had just likely passed out. This year I'm not involved in that kind of project, but I'm still crap at scheduled things. I'm making a mental note... Thursday-ish. I'm hopeful that I'll make it.

Remembering the M&G is no different than remembering your volunteer shift at ice camp or bus depot or whatever else you feel is important to do while on the playa. You bring a clock, you put it on your schedule and you do it. Or are you saying you abdicate all responsibility while there? I never bought the "playa time" excuse.

I have a pretty full itinery on playa, it includes costume fittings for troy camp participants, dj sets, meet and greet ... so I'm currently trying to diarise it all in...

Playa time sounds like its a bit of an excuse to be a general layabout and someone who can't be arsed doing what they said their were going to do!!

Within reason. I toss schedules, cell phones, social commitments, cares/stresses/worries and maybe a few brain cells to the wind. If you want to live your life at BRC as a slave to all of the above as you do in defaultia, be my guest.. your prerogative as is mine. You don't have to "buy" jack shit.
