The Electric Karaoke Bar

This post is intended to gauge interest for a new camp called 'The Electric Karaoke Bar'. I intend to invest several thousand dollars this year into one or more Zeusaphones, faraday suits, generators, and other necessary equipment. I already own a computer with several thousand karaoke midi files as well as a touchscreen monitor for displaying them. The idea is to hook up the Zeusaphone to the karaoke system so that when a karaoke singer sings, their voice is modulated through the Zeusaphone and represented via 8 foot arcs of electricity. The band 'Ark Attack' uses these solid state zeusaphones in their performances, so you can get an idea of what I'm talking about by you tubing them.

The only real reason I have for dumping thousands of dollars into a project like this is burning man. I live in Reno Nevada and have gone to enough burns to know that I want to do something big for the population of Black Rock next year and for years to come. If there is enough interest in a karaoke theme camp centered around a zeusaphone, then I will most likely start the process of gathering the equipment and people, registering the camp, and planning out the general awesomeness that will be had at the 'Electric Karaoke Bar' in 2011.

We always get fun response when we host Dr Peffer's Karaoke. Loads of fun...With that extra spark, I think it would be a hit!
