Great idea mate. I remember the book had quite a profound effect on me and I always find an excuse to dress up as Alex at fancy dress parties. The film was shot just up the road from me aswell.

So why should I back your theme camp if I'm not camping with it? Isn't that what member dues is for?

Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Not original, but I like it.

I recommend making it 'Kamp Kubrick' and playing a different movie of his on a projector every night. You can make each day a different theme and post it in the BM program: (just figure out a fun activity that relates to each movie)

Monday: Clockwork Orange... (some crazy activity that's "ultra-violent")
Tues: Eyes wide shut... Venetian Masks all day long (easy, costume parade)
Wed: 2001... Space Day (play Pink Floyd, smoke)
Thursday: Full Metal Jacket day (try to suck a golf ball through a garden hose, give everyone a nametag "Gomer Pyle")
Friday: Dr. Strangelove day... ('End of the world as we know it' party, everyone writes a bucket list, you post them and try to do them at the party)
Saturday: The Shining (murder mystery night, and make the camp into 'Hotel California' from the Eagles song)

Just try to incorporate costumes themes and active events. Remember, always use your best party/event ideas the first two days... to build momentum.

Just ideas. I hate it when the theme of a camp falls apart the third day when people get tired/used to the theme... you need new ideas and new material EVERY day. Different ideas will bring in different people!

We had a bar named the "Milk Bar" open here in Dallas. I thought the decor was cool, but found it lame after 20 minutes when the theme was just the decor. It was just a bar!

You have an opportunity to dig into Kubrick and pull ideas from him... then you go DEEPER into this engrossing world. When people investigate your camp gratify them with mystery, intrigue, and narrative.

How can you incorporate drinking, electro-shock-therapy, and a game together? (Hint, its a lot like taking an 'upside down shot' leaning back in a chair)

How do you interpret 'Eyes Wide Shut'? Does that sound like a blindfolded kissing game to anyone else?

'The Shining' - that sounds like a shirtcocker in a trench coat who shines a the flashlight he's holding between his knees right in your eyes! "Want to see 'The Shining?' "

This is good input. I like the original idea too. Good luck! I would love an ice cold milky drink out on the playa!

And, with appropriate consent, strapping participants in chairs and propping their eyelids open while they watch, administering lubricating drops as needed.

Hey, I can furnish a full set of Switched On Bach by Wendy Carlos on CD (I'm old! I have it on LP - but from my father) if you want it for a soundtrack.

Heaven forbid they get tied up while watching those films and have lap dances forced on them!

Oh man, if you wanna get tied up and have lapdances forced upon you you should check out the camp I stay at, it's called "lapdance till you bleed". There we give you a choice of water or vodka, hemp bondage rope or silk, vasalene or baby powder, if you choose water we would now give you vodka, and then a lapdance.... Until you bleed
