Theme Camp Seeking a Doula Drop-In

OSIRIS is a new performing arts and sound camp, and we'll be hosting a casual event (date/time TBD just yet) for pregnant burners and their families to celebrate womanhood, families of all kinds, and most of all, new arrivals! I'd like to keep it casual by offering refreshments, possibly playing the HypnoBirthing positive birth affirmations CD, but would greatly appreciate a doula who may be willing to come by for a brief Q & A with the participants. For those who don’t know the term, a doula is a woman who is trained in supporting, labor, birth, and in some cases post-partum needs. Finding someone can sometimes feel like a daunting task. Who are they? How do you make contact with them, and then how do you know if this is someone you actually want to have at what is sure to be an intense and possibly very intimate moment in your life?
