RTW Cyclist looking for people to camp with

Post by tiredofit » Wed Aug 03, 2011 6:39 pm

Hello! Dave here, I've been cycling with the goal to make it around the world eventually and heading back to BRC after a 5 year hiatus following a marathon go on the playa-go-round. Rites of Passage seems to be the one that draws me back throughout my journey, and I wanted to try something completely different this year rather than camp with the same people I've camped with for years and years, I want to camp with complete strangers!

Now, be aware I will have everything I need to survive (food/water/tent/cooking supplies) as I'm carting it all with me, and having a few people help me out with bringing extra water down to the festival for me so I'm not someone looking to live off of others fortunes, I'd say the only requirement I'd like to be sorted out with is a plce where there is some shade as I don't have access to that anymore after selling everything I owned, and plus it'd be a huge hassle to haul on my bicycle.

Me - 33 years old originally from Vancouver - Have been riding since 2009 and on a different path than what I was doing before, working in computers during the day, and at night making music and pushing it out on the FM airwaves - typically out there electronica. Now, I seem to be a traveling nomad meeting people, reciprocating when kindred spirits come my way by means of knowledge, repair or just sharing conversations. Generally well behaved, except when I'm not.

Would love to get involved with a camp who is looking for a solid individual to help out, keep things together, communal things, needing someone to blast music out, bicycle repair, or just who are a solid set of individuals. Figured I'd throw this out there now before the festival and see what's out there. Regards, Dave/Gene Eric
