Of course there's a big difference between one bill with value Zero or one with a value of a Million !

I will start printing the limited edition bills next week, so a signed one will be one its way to you soon :)

Regarding my previous post, I should also mention that last year's contact from the Grant Committee on March 1st was for questions/clarification, then it was another couple of weeks before they sent me their decision. I'm trying to stay distracted right now by writing scripts and doing no-dollar activities until I receive their yay or nay. Patience as an art form, eh gang?

Yeah I don't feel bad about being denied funding because apparently they got like 20% more grant requests than last year, and now I can camp with my art.

I heard that we didn't receive a grant. With a project this big and coming from overseas it will now become very difficult, but I still believe there is a chance. Maybe a small one, but a chance for sure. But we need you........

So I started focusing on making enough money to finance the project by printing my own money

. The money has been printed now and by has now gone to another printer to get some smaller details printed with silverfoil and then will get numbered.

And we also started a webshop in order to sell the money and hopefully earn enough money to fill a swimming pool with money:

Since the bills are only ready next week, we decided to give those ordering now and supporting and believing in the project an extra Dream Dollar from the Dreamyourtopia project with every order.

Almost sounding like a real bank, huh?

PS of course this means that those who have supported the first stage of Indiegogo will receive their specially signed bill as well soon!

No funding for walkabout woods either. We're moving forward anyway. It will be kickstarter.com for us. I think it will be important for us all to help each other here and there... every little bit of support helps. I've already pledged money on the bman kickstarter campaigns that are up.

As a foreigner with a project I unfortunately can't use Kickstarter now

(from the Kickstarter website: Do I have to be US-based to start a project?

Currently, yes. Kickstarter's transactions are handled by Amazon Payments, which restricts the ability to receive money to people or entities with a US bank account, US address, and a US drivers license (or state-issued ID).)

I am looking into the possibilities of getting an American base to set this up, but for now selling the money at http://shop.artasmoney.com will be my 'Kickstarter' to make this project happen............

We're thrilled to have been selected for a Burning Man partial funding grant, especially with all the mind-blowing concepts submitted which I hope will find alternate funding so they can fully manifest for us all to enjoy on the playa. I especially love the way Burning Man is supporting projects like Dadara's "The Pool of Plenty and Exchanghibition Bank" through their huge Facebook presence and distribution in their Jack Rabbit Speaks newsletter.

Partial funding is just that, so we won't be putting the begging bowl away just yet. We need your help and that of your Burner friends to build Georgie Boy in a way that we hope will leave you walking away from it on the playa, shaking your head, saying "Dude, that was some f*cked up sh*t". Here's what's going on right now...

I was very happy with that as well. Of course they realize that being a foreign project means that it's much more difficult for me to let the U.S. burners know that this is happening. And those posts definitely helped a lot! But I am still a long way from home.

Today I received my first money bills! YAY! they look really cool with the details in silver and being numbered. So I hope a lot of people will exchange their 'real' money for these banknotes on http://shop.artasmoney.com

One other reason that I am happy with the FB and JRS support is that the idea behind the whole project is just as important as the project itself, so more people will get to know about the blog and read all the amazing posts by cool writers and artists. And maybe get involved themselves as well in the discussion about the value of art and money!
