You might want to talk to AntiM about her "Five Minutes After" house, I think it was 2006. I don't mean to discourage her with some sort of "it's been done" because it turns out everything has been done. It's the first time it's been done in this particular way, however, so it's always fresh.

Dang. I'm sure I remembered a shack. Maybe it was the schoolhouse.

Sorry for the thread drift.

Wish I had seen it! Alas, one year before my time. I wonder how many folks jumped the fence to snap a photo with Flaco on the swing?

Quite a few if the footprints are any indication. His name is Bucky, he attended several burns and regionals until his hip broke. He has a wife, a daughter, a son, a baby and a dog. I put a lot of dough into the Bucky family!

I think I caught Larry off guard one afternoon...I saw him over by a porto bank, and said. "hey Larry, where's Bucky?" he looked at me kinda sideways and told me the hip story.

Hm. Bucky needs a hip replacement? How very modern of him.

Tried titanium rods?

Where's the Rite of Passage? Nuclear Armageddon? OK, fair enough. :)

Okay, we're going to keep it fairly small and here's how the idea has formed.

http://shoestringvagabond.activeboard.com/forum.spark?aBID=128826&p=3&topicID=40777788

If you have any suggestions, you don't have to log on to post stuff over there.... (I'm sure every porn site in Russia just heard that)

If its of any consolation, "Float On" is a Virgin Burner.... so that's kind of a Rite of Passage. Maybe we should sacrifice her or something.

AntiM - I love love LOVE the project you created! And if you still have "nuked flamingos", that would fit in perfectly!

Shoot me a PM with an addy and I can see if I can find them under the snow in the backyard. They will need new legs.

I'm an Air Force reservist, maybe I can get some real nukes ... um, which the Air Force "may or may not have."

I'm in public affairs and we really have to say things like that. Ignore most of what the Pentagon or any military people say, it's manufactured hogwash.

Any way, nukes ... can we set off a nuke on the playa? Does radioactive fallout count as MOOP?

My nephew (Alter-Boy), is a Navy nuke on a sub. Maybe he could "send" us one.

We have a new hip, it just needs to be drilled. His last ride in the semi with Larry, he went from the hips up. His hand was attached as if he were waving, one of the other drivers grabbed the door open, so now his shoulder and elbow are screwed up. Poor old Bucky.

I could bring him in a wheelchair. Perhaps not in the best of taste?

Crapola. I guess the low-hanging fruit is already gone, which is good because it's MOOP.

How about a fake Geiger counter, rigged so it actually measures something else, say a visitor's proximity?

I bring a real Geiger counter to the playa, doesn't everybody? What every happen to radical self sufficiency? Rigging tapes of clicks with speakers might be fun.
