No dead animals in the Temple. please! (graphic image)

Postby CalebCamera » Fri Apr 01, 2011 12:42 am

While wondering through the ashes left from the burning temple in 2010 I had the startling experience of stumbling upon lil' miss Krispy Kitty. I assume it was placed in the temple with the intent of being cremated. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for this or the other cat we found.

If this was your pet, I apologize for posting here. However, I did take it upon myself to place her and her sister kitty in a burn barrel to ensure their completed destruction. After, of course, taking a photo.

...let the kitty cat captioning begin.

It looks like a beaver to me.

Yeech. How did you even identify that as a cat? It looks like a burned dinosaur-rabbit. Let's hope this practice stops before someone decides to "cremate" their miscarried child or something.

Imagine the possibilities. I can see potential for a CSI episode here. Or maybe Bones.

How do you tell burners what to do and what not to do?
This must have been a meaningful event for someone and it's possible that you ruined it.

Well, the temple builders should be able to predict where it will burn hottest, and we can direct the pet cremators to stash carcasses there.

Good idea, I'd like to know the hottest spot in the temple this year to put my grandma. Does she have to be dead first?

Was that you who accidentally set yourself on fire by turning your back to the burn at the wrong moment?

Knock her out and fill her orifices and body cavities with hand sanitizer or possibly non-dairy creamer (which is horrendously flammable!) or something else combustable.

Some black powder might help to spread the parts out so they burn better.

I think I can explain the cat corpse. A nice young lad i was camped next to was an amateur taxidermist. To my surprise i met his bucket of taxidermied animals before i met him. He had 20-30 mice he was gifting to people on the playa, and one cat. My GF wouldnt let me keep the mouse he gifted me around and he said he had trouble getting rid of them all, so he burned them with the temple, cat included. Still pretty creepy though. You said you found 2 cat-like corpses?!
