Help a Moose Help Himself

Post by Super » Fri May 06, 2011 12:48 pm

Moose Man, the effigy for the Toronto Burning Man region will be a virgin burner visiting the playa for the first time this year.

Like many burners, Moose Man doesn't have a lot of money, but strongly needs to visit Black Rock City in the run up to Labor Day. He's hoping to meet many like minded folk this year, either Moose or Men.

However, also like many burners, he's short of money to make the trip. Its a long way from Ontario to the playa, and a lack of leg muscles mean that he's unable to walk the four thousand miles to get there. And boy does he really want to get there. He's eager to meet his friends in the circle of regional effigies, and although he's heard rumours that he might be burnt alive on the Thursday night of the festival along with 23 of his closest friends, he really just has to be there - you know what I mean.

Moose strongly believes in self reliance, but recognises that with a lack of literacy skills, any discernible intellect, and severe motion problems, its unlikely that he could make the trip without the help of his community.

You could help him! Please gift him some of your resources to help him make the trip.

You can gift financial items to him at ... art-effigy

You can become his friend on facebook at and further follow his progress at

Befriend a fellow burner and help him make it to the playa this year!
