looking for waterproof cover

I am building a yurt in my backyard and thought that someone might have extra waterproof material from a dome that isn't going back to BM next year. Billboard would be nice. Tarp maybe, but not nasty blue tarp. Compensation available.

Call your local outdoor advertising company and ask for discarded vinyls. They are in fact billboard ads, 12 mil reinforced vinyl, usually white on one side, and range in size from 12x12ft to 20x60ft, with the most common size being 14x48ft.

The advertiser we got seven of ours from this past year ships about 350 discarded vinyls a month to Mexico. We called ahead of time, then drove to their yard where they loaded the vinyls into our vehicle. There was no charge for the vinyls, only the caveat that they not be publicly displayed, they not end up in the landfill, and they not be burned (burning vinyl is highly toxic).

The advertising can be painted over, and the vinyls are nicely waterproof.
