I have no idea what this thread is about but didn't feel like making a new one. I'm trying to give away a couch, a table, a chest of drawers, and a headboard thing. This is in Oakland near Lake Merritt. You need to be able to transport the stuff your self.

The couch is old and threadbare in parts but elegant. The color is a pretty tan and the fabric is velvet-like. The men who sit on it tend to think it's not very comfortable.

Table is desk-size, of interesting and old construction, but I've done a poor job stripping 1/2 of the top and don't feel like doing anything further. It has one drawer in the front.

The chest of drawers is fairly small, four drawers, the drawers operate well but the wood is cheap and has been painted a glossy black which is chipped in a few places. One of the drawers lacks a back piece. I think this item may not even be good enough for the salvation army but I found it useful for the past eight years. It's fairly small and light so is easy to transport.

The headboard is odd, it's more a storage device than a headboard, it's queen size and has two sections where I stored bedding and stuff. The top part has a cover which lifts open and is slanted to support you leaning up against it when closed (if you were sitting on the bed). It came from Scandinavian Design. They don't seem to have a web site or I'd include an image.

If you want any of this stuff please post here or I guess PM is okay too. This has to be done by 12/01 or I'm taking it all to the salvation army except the chest which I'll burn.

i was going to start my own thread, but......

i will be having an indoor/yard sale estate blowout type thing on saturday, nov 29th. great stuff, great deals, do yer xmas shopping early. i'll also have my jewelry available and t-shirts and some clothing i made.
