There are some pretty interesting one's this year.fernley1 wrote:My family and I are going out this year. Trying to decide what tour we all want to go on.
Very cool, fernley. If it wasn't 2700 miles away, I'd be there to check out stars at night. One thing I'd like to get around to this year - ride real deep or to the fence and check out the sky.fernley1 wrote:Hope-a-lope,
I was out on the playa last weekend. It was windy, but no dust.
Its so peaceful, beautiful, we were the only car out there at that time.
I love driving on the playa, look down at the speedo, you are going 60 mph, seems like your only doing 15mph, playa is so big and smooth you cant judge speed or distances.
We'll take pictures!Hope-a-Lope wrote:fernley1 wrote:If it wasn't 2700 miles away, I'd be there to check out stars at night.
Ditto! See you again in a few months. Hopefully, by then I'll have the concrete/mud chipped from my truck. I'm ready for a Dry Playa trip.fernley1 wrote:Just Joe, it was nice meeting you this weekend.

I'm partial to the (self-guided) Geocache tour.
