This post goes out to all you traveling hippies out there, those that are looking for another event after the summer burn calendar or those that are looking for a community in Portugal.
We are in the final production stages of the first edition of:
FLAMINGALO

Close to Montemor-O-Novo, approx 1.5hrs drive from Lisbon - yes, Lisbon Portugal, not Lisbon Androscoggin

Full self-reliance, as we have no infrastructure on site except toilets
Flamingo: beautiful creatures that live in a lake on the land during the dry season (and a great word with lots of meaning)
Galo: Portuguese for COCK (no, a rooster, silly you) and the national emblem of Portugal. Usually wearing a frock of local colours
Together make: FLAMINGALO
The first real burn in Portugal! We adhere to the 10+2 principles (silly consenting non-conforming Euroburners!) of the global burn community and welcome those who wish to co-create with us.
The main intention of this first event is to begin building the foundation of a local, active and participatory burn community in Portugal. And so we invite YOU to join us to co-create this community and hatch something magical! If you can't make it this year, next year was <whatever you made it>
