Howdy. I am a 22/f fire spinner located in the SF Bay area. I have decided that this summer I would really like to just hop on my bike (2004 honda shadow) and travel the country hooking up with other fire spinners. Of course, it would be nice to know what I am getting into. So any advice? Where can't I miss? Info on local spin jams? Couches to crash?
A bit about me- my concentration is currently contact staff. I enjoy the performance aspect of spinning and close-in partner choreography is my major weakness. I have been spinning fire for two years, but spinning in general for about ten (colorgaurd at a young age).
So sending out the howdy and looking to get some discussions about my possibilities started.

Sign up, figure out a schedule (even if a loose one), line up some couches to crash on, find other fire spinners to meetup with (I'm thinking the best idea would be attending regionals which tend to be in spring/summer before '06), etc. etc. etc. You can probably even search for "fire spinning" or "Burning Man" on couchsurfing.com to find the people you'd rather meet.
Another idea: If you have any idea what cities you might want to visit, look for a local burner tribe and/or local fire spinning group on tribe.net. Seem to be lots of local groups on there.
It's what you make it.

Utah has a large burner contingent; Synorgy is the second weekend in June this year. You'd find plenty of folks to spin with here!

I have a spare bedroom; I'm not in Salt Lake City, north in Ogden if you wander this way.
