A Tiara / Crown Making Workshop for kids in Washington Square Park on
Thursday, August 10th from 10:30am - 1pm at the playground.

The Miss Black Rock City Project believes that everyone is beautiful,
and everyone wins by participating.

I have attached a few examples what can be made from our furry
chenille stems. We can show you and your child how to make something
as simple as a few daisies to something as elaborate as a full crown!

This event is a part of the Washington Square Park Council's Summer

Hey all ~

Yesterday's tiara / crown workshop in the park was a lot of fun! Extra-special, huge thanks to Bernadette and Kelly for helping out. A lot of kids showed up, I would not have been able to do it without you two. Whew!

We had two little girls show up in princess costumes, we had little boys making crowns and sunglasses, and we read three books: "Do Princesses Wear Hiking Boots?" by Carmela LaVigna Coyle, "It's Okay to be Different" by Todd Parr, and of course "The Paper Bag Princess" by Robert N. Munsch.

Remember: We are having a tiara workshop day on the playa, Tuesday at Atelier Rusette in New Amsterdam Village (7:30 and Destiny) 3:30pm-5:30pm.
