Utah Decompression?
Utah Decompression?
Anyone know of a Utah decompression going on? I haven't heard of one yet and I was wondering if there was someone who had some data on it.
Thanks,
Dan

Utah decomp.
The official Utah Decompression party is going to be held on Nov. 7th @ In the Venue - SLC. You can find a bit more info here http://element11.org/
Thanks bunches!
Thank you very much for this information. Too bad that this is last minute news and that those running the decompression couldn't have provided data on this matter much much much earlier. Not sure that we can go now as work sort of wants us to give a little notice before taking the time off.
Hopefully we can go and see others from the area. Thanks.

Base Camp warehouse caught on fire by someone using a homemade foam cutting torch around four in the morning. When everyone ran outside the firemen and the police took notice that an industrial space was being used as a residential space. The legal ramifications disrupted DeCompression.
I heard In the Venue sucked ass and their security had no clue what burners and costumes were about.
Element 11, the Utah regional burn, is not held at Bonneville, that's the Salt Flats. It is held on Seabase, near Grantsville, west of Tooele. This is private property, although an event of this size requires permits and insurance. That's why ticket prices are at the level they are at. $40 for four days is a deal though. The terrain is salt marsh, we have access to showers (communal and don't use up too much water,) a covered natural salt pool (deep!) at night, and we can watch them feed the sharks. Yes, sharks. Because George and Linda run a business on the property, teaching scuba diving, there is no daytime nudity from 7 am to 7 pm. That's because civilians are present and the 14 year old boys went bug-eyed at the boobies one year.
Element 11 was held the third weekend in June last year, to avoid coinciding with Pride. I'm assuming we'll get the same dates. I think attendance is up over 500 people.
