I've asked Burners in the East, I've asked Burning Man Org, and now I'm going to ask you all--
Where can I buy water East of Reno? We will be driving in on I-80 from the East Coast. We have these wonderful blue containers, and we'd like to know where we can fill them up. Where can we go? Winnemucca? Elko? Battle Mountain? Where?
In Reno, there is Water Mart. Show up, bring in your containers, they fill them, and we go. But I don't want to spend the extra time, money, gas, mileage on the rental car, and frustration of Reno just to get water. I also don't want to haul a week's worth of water for 2 people 3,000 miles across the country. It would be hell on my gas mileage, shocks of the car, and just generally a very bad idea.
So, local folks, please tell me... Is there somewhere in Winnemucca to buy water? Or anywhere else on I-80 East of the BRC exit?

Try Grocery Stores
Hi...you might try grocery stores in Elko or Winnemucca. Most of our grocery stores have outside water vending machines that you can fill up the standard size water bottles.
