THE DO LAB presents:

~LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE~

July 24th and 25th

***************************

Experience 24 hours of forest adventure on a 160 acre private ranch just 45
minutes north of Los Angeles.

Creating, Dancing, Discovering, Exploring, Playing, Burning!

Lightning in a Bottle began 5 years ago as a private gathering to celebrate
the electrifying experience of a group of like-minded individuals
discovering their shared love for music, dancing, and the wilderness,
together. Each year a new location has been chosen and transformed into a
sensory wonderland of music, lights and artwork – all incorporating the
magical environment mother nature provides. Over the years the event has
grown and this year promises to be the biggest celebration yet, as djs,
performers and artists from multiple communities join to dance and celebrate
the beauty within and without us all.

ART INSTALLATIONS
We’re creating a mesmerizing wonderland for you to explore in. Upon your
explorations you may stumble into some of these wonderful creations.

~ "Water Woman" by Ray Cirino
For ten years Water Woman has stood on the playa facing the man. This will
be a rare off-Playa appearance of the beautiful 30’ recycled wood sculpture.
When it's hot, Water Woman’s pee is a refreshing relief from the heat. A
truly transcendent golden shower.

~ "Black Diamond Binary" by K'Buster F
Black Diamond Binary is a 10' sculpture made of wood and wax. During the
night this sculpture will be set afire. As it burns, the wax of the
sculpture will slowly melt away and take everything with it in a slow
burning blaze.

~ "Mushroom Tea for Breakfast Again" by Sean Sobczak
If you didn’t see the amazing Love and Sea Horses at Burning Man and
Coachella in recent years, you really missed out.  Those who remember the
fantastical art car will be sure to check out Sean’s latest illuminated
project designed to light up your life.

~ Metal Sculptures by Christian the Black Smith
Christian will be setting up his anvil and molding metal right in front of
your eyes. He will also be hosting a small clay sculpting workshop. Get your
hands dirty and create something.

~ 500,000 Volt Tesla Coil by Brent
Not quite as big as Dr. Megavolt but extremely shocking for a little guy. It
wouldn't be Lightning in a Bottle without bolts of lightning zapping all
over the place.

~ Magical Glowing Trees of Scrap Metal by Peat Art
Peat Art created this fascinating field of trees out of perfect pieces of
twisted metal found all around. By night, the glowing forest lights up the
darkness.

~ Cosmic Construction Zone by Null_a
This installation will transform the universe of a tree into a galactic star
nursery.  The chill experimental beats, spinning light show, and pillows and
cushions will set you free from the constraints of time and connect you with
the cosmos within us all.

Other Event Features:

~ The Silver Streaked Lounge by The Clandestino
The Silver what? You probably know it as the "Big Red Fur Lined Bus", or
"Her Great Fuzziness", and in case you've never seen it before, its the
ultimate party wagon. A full sized bus with walls completely lined in red
fur! The pimpiest lounge on the planet, and a staple at all major Burning
Man functions. We are proud to have this masterpiece on board for the event.
Check out photos and learn more about The Clandestino and their own summer
festival, Pavements End II at www.theclandestino.org

and have yourself a wonderful organic meal. The kitchen will be open for the
entire length of the party, so take a break, fuel up, and hang out with us
all day! www.divinenourishment.com

~ 30’ Tetra provided by Trancelvania
Hexogonal dance platform lit with hundreds of LEDs superimposed inside a
two-story aluminum tetrahedron. You have to see this to believe it!

~ Bouncy Chill Area hosted by the Bouncy Bounce Club
Bounce all night on a giant air inflated bouncy thing or just chill around
it in the chill out lounge. This area is going to rock. And Bounce!

~ Psychedelic Visuals by Love Mushroom
Love Mushroom was established in 1999 by Yo Suzuki, hailing from Tokyo,
Japan.  He and his crew’s mind expanding live visuals will raise your
consciousness to new levels, and they look really cool too.

citizenry of the City of Angels with their dazzling exploits. The league is

Eating, Swords, Fans, Chain Whip and much much more.

~ The Smoke and Poke Lounge hosted by THE SEROTONINS
Need a place to hang out and relax for a little while? Well stop by the
Smoke and Poke lounge and spend some quality time with The Serotonins, one
of Burning Man's premier psychedelic rock bands. They'll have Special Ed,
the infamous fur lined tour bus converted into a private lounge for your
enjoyment!!!. www.theserotonins.com

Other Event Info:

TICKETS will be available at the gate for ONLY $20.
$16 pre-sale tickets are on sale now at:
http://www.thedolab.com/LIB/lib.html

THE GATE will open at 4pm on Saturday July 24th, and the party will rage
until 4pm Sunday July 25th. Arrive early to secure a prime camping spot,
because space will go quick!

DIRECTIONS will be posted at The Do Lab website one day prior to the event.

WATER will be for sale in 1.5 liter large bottles (less waste) along with a
few other beverages. Please bring as much water as you feel you will need
for the weekend. If you choose not to or forget, we’ve got you covered.

FIRE performers are welcome to bring their toys and light-up in designated
fire safe areas. Please be responsible for your own fire safety. You MUST
have an EXPERIENCED fire safety person standing by anytime you light up.

CAMPING is heartily encouraged. Please bring tents, sleeping bags and
everything else that you think will make yours and others weekend great. Set
up camp right by your car or wander away and find some privacy. We are
expecting a lot of people so arrive early to find great camping spots.

LEAVE NO TRACE are words we must learn to live by. Trash is something nobody
likes. Please help keep this beautiful ranch clean by using the waste bins
and picking up loose garbage. Lets enjoy a trash free environment when the
sun comes up. And please pack out everything you bring in.

WEATHER may be cold at night as we’re in the mountains. However it will
start heating up as soon as the sun reaches the horizon in the morning.
Bring appropriate clothing for the entire event.

TRIBAL REGALIA and magnificent attire are extremely encouraged. Just as
indigenous tribes of our planet have done for thousands of years, it evokes
purpose when we dress for the dances of ecstasy that gatherings with great
music and beautiful souls inspire. Everyone has a great time decked out in
wild and crazy outfits. PARTICIPATE!

CARPOOL out to the event. Driving is more fun with friends and we need the
space to dance and party. CARPOOL! CARPOOL! CARPOOL!

GO BIG!

Sure sounds like fun, especially since I don't think I can convince my multiple "bosses" (Dutch for "master", but we didn't wanna do "master" in the new, free, America, so we adopted the term "boss") that I should be allowed to take two weeks off to attend BM. Certainly, my wallet can't stand it!!!!

Do you have a phone # whereby I might avoid posting my credit card info online via paypal? Not that I don't trust you, but... I don't trust most people!!! :D
