Honolulu, Hawaii burner community

Post by KodiakM » Fri Jan 13, 2012 11:26 am

The burner community is pretty strong in Seattle, and I'll miss it.
It's hard to be sad when you're moving to Hawaii.
Thing is, I'll have to say goodbye to my burner tribe, and that's going to be hard :(

Is there a strong burner community in Hawaii?

The old ways should be preserved, for some day our children may wish to know where we came from.

I believe there is. I've never been, but I've heard from friends who've visited and come back babbling incoherently about the awesomeness :) Check out this thread for info on the upcoming regional, and to connect with the great community over there.

There are a good amount, and some awesome people out there as well.

If you want a weekly thing, I believe every Thursday night there's a fire spinning group in Kaka'ako Park that are mostly burners. I have bunches of friends that attend. Show up, hang out, meet some cool people..

Yes, the burner community on the island of Oahu is getting stronger every day. We have planning meetings for Collidiscope 2012 (the Hawaii Regional Event, March 7-10) Wednesdays at 5pm at Bar 35 in Chinatown. Even if you don't want to help plan the event, come on down and say hello. Check out the http://www.facebook.com/#!/kapilina for some information on getting tickets.

Thursdays the fire jam at Kaka'ako park is pretty cool. They have a DJ spinning some good tunes and any fire spinners show up burn until they close the park. The jam starts about 7 or so, but most people don't show up until after 8. the park closes as 10, so we stop about 9:45.

I spin fire, and wear a black hat with devil horns on it, come over and say ALOHA!
Fire Diva.
